Ashley was quietly watching the movie, unable to really pay attention. Her thoughts were wandering to colorguard practice, which she was required to attend the next day. Luckily, her practice ended at seven, so she could still make Vassily's party if she rushed. That wasn't what she was worried about, though. Instead, she couldn't stop thinking of how she could be in her backyard right then tossing her rifle instead of watching this movie. Each practice, the instructors found a new reason to yell at her or call her out in front of the rest of the group, and she was beginning to feel hopeless, like she could never get her work and tosses right anymore.
