Grey felt a laugh begin to rise up his throat, but he held it back. He intertwined his fingers with hers, wiping the smile clean off his face. "Sorry about that, Eve."

Evelyn frowned at him but did not move and did not pull her hand away. "Your not sorry."

"Of course I am, if it scared you then shouldn't I be?" Grey asked her, unsure how she wanted him to feel at the moment.

Evelyn nodded "of course you should. You scared me half to death. I would be all alone if you drowned." She told him "just cause you say your sorry doesn't mean you mean it."

Grey angled his head and started playing with her hair, thinking of what to say to convince her. "Evelyn, I wouldn't leave you alone. Don't even mention it." He promised her, actually dead serious for once.

Eve looked at Grey for a moment before nodding "alright,I believe you." She said then smiled softly, she felt like she was being petted because of Grey playing with her hair. She leaned into his hand and smiled once again "is my hair fun to play with?"

Grey smiled softly. "Extremely. What sort of conditioner do you use, I need to get myself some." He told her, his old humor returning.

Evelyn giggled at him and smiled "I don't know but I think it's from Dove." She leaned forward and kissed his cheek. "I'm glad you make me smile." She whispered to him.

"We'll I'm glad, because I wouldn't be able to change that part about me." Grey informed her.

Evelyn smiled and leaned her head on his shoulder and nuzzled his neck, closing her eyes and sighing contently.
