"Do you talk?" Shark growled, watching the monster carefully.

[detective who.]

"Yes," Balthazar answered, nodding. He was relieved that they hadn't fought. He didn't like to fight, which most would find odd, considering he was an experiment.

Shark relaxed his stance a little. "What do you want then?" he asked.

[detective who.]

Balthazar had to consider that for a moment before answering. "Well... I just wanted to find out who you are, I suppose," he answered, shrugging. The armor under his shirt made a clicking sound as he did so.

Shark nodded. "I suppose that makes sense. Are you alone?" he asked, looking around and then spotting the girl in the alley. "Is she like you?" He used his chin to point to the girl.

[detective who.]

Balthazar shook his head. "She's human," he answered. "I'm protecting her." He looked around. "What about you, are you alone?" he asked.

[Sherlocked<3]

"I'm alone, been alone for a while now," Shark said, standing straight again. "Why are you protecting her?"

[detective who.]

"Because she can't protect herself," Balthazar answered. "She needs someone around. She'd be vulnerable alone."

[Sherlocked<3]

"But why you?" Shark asked. "You don't look all that old yourself and a person of your... type doesn't usually have family so she cant be your sister," said the man.
