Derek saw Eliza in the arms of the woman that he had just seen at the front. Raising his gun, he shouted, "Put my daughter down right now!!"

Eliza clung to Jessica with one arm, the other still broken. She gave another wail as her arm was moved, but felt comforted in Jessica's arms, and even more comforted at the sight of her father. "Daddy..."

Kaiiyen slid to a stop beside Derek, surveying the scene. She saw her daughter and breathed, "oh Eliza..."

Jessica growled."No." I have to be sure they are her parents... She thought and gripped her sword. She positioned herself so that Eliza was away from the intruders, in case they pulled anything. After looking over the woman and man she narrowed her eyes."How do I know she is 'your' daughter."

Derek looked at Eliza and murmured, "Eliza, pigeon, it's alright now. Da's here and you're going to be alright." Turning his attention to the woman, he said, "She is my daughter and I can see that she's hurt. Please, let her go."

Luka came up next to Jessica saying, "I think you should do as he says."

Jessica looked at Luka, fire burning in her eyes."Are you kidding me?! They point a gun at us, trample you down, point a gun at me and your on their side now?!" She snapped and then turned her glare to the intruders. She let Eliza down and narrowed her eyes once more."Get out. Or I'll slit all of your throats." She spat, gripping her sword, her hand turning red.

"You need me to explain to you she's my daughter?? Look at the eyes!! The lips!! The cheekbones!! We are flesh and blood." Kaiiyen snapped, stepping forward.

Elaine sniffled and held her broken arm. "Owie.."

Jessica took a step towards the woman."GET OUT!" She bellowed. She shoved past them and out of the gas station, cursing.

Kaiiyen's eyes narrowed and she quickly pulled out her gun, not aiming it or shooting it. "Eliza." She said softly to her daughter, kneeling down. "Come here."

Eliza glanced at Jessica and looked to her parents. She stepped forward before she ran to her mother's arms. "I saw a b-bird... Hop hop hop... And I f-followed it"

Derek slung the shotgun over his shoulder and knelt in front of Eliza saying, "Don't ever do that again, pigeon. You scared us!" He gently touched her arm and asked, "Tell me where it hurts love."

Luka was stuck between following Jessica and sticking by to make sure that the little girl was alright.

Jessica stopped and through her daggers at a nearby tree. She continued to do this until the tree was scared with scratches.
