I wish I never saw your face
And I wouldn't need a place
to frame you in my mind.
Hanging on the wall,
my memories and all
But you're not tangible.
Stuck on sentimental,
the history we never had.
Almost accidental,
the way you live inside my head.
I would kill to be a mile away
Or feel the breath you'll take,
But fate won't let me.
Distance disturbs me
Now I wish we never met.
I wish I could forget who you are.
Distance disturbs me
Cause we just can't connect.
I found my one regret
and it was you.
Distance disturbs me.
Separated by a screen,
it's just a bittersweet
Success with a dash of failure.
I'm hanging by a thread,
intentions cut to shreds.
I'm starting to lose my grip so
Someone please distract me,
I need a new obsession.
Am I just going crazy?
I'll never learn my lesson because
I would kill to be a mile away
Or feel the breath you'll take,
But fate won't let me.
Distance disturbs me
Now I wish we never met.
I wish I could forget who you are.
Distance disturbs me
Cause we just can't connect,
I found my one regret and it was you.
Distance disturbs me.
Throw it all away,
for just one rainy day.
Throw it all away,
for just one rainy day.
With you, with you!
I would kill to be a mile away
Or feel the breath you'll take,
But fate won't let me...
Distance disturbs me
Now I wish we never met.
I wish I could forget who you are.
Distance disturbs me
Cause we just can't connect.
I found my one regret and it was you.
I found my one regret and it was you.
I found my one regret and it was you.~ Set It Off
"Distance Disturbs Me"
The internet took over your life the same year you entered high school. You had all the social networking sites. Facebook. Twitter. YouTube. Keek. Tumblr. At first it was to connect with the social life of your circle of friends. You tried your best to not talk to strangers; just as your parents had taught you. You avoid the people that constantly tried to contact you privately and figure out where you leaved. You were a good child.
Maybe it was their username. Maybe it was the way they treated you. Maybe it was the proof that they were real. Whatever it was, you were drawn to it. Only a few years after joining, you started talking to everyone. You were a social butterfly of the internet world. By now, you even had a gang of members on every site that you talked to on a daily basis. You could remember everything about them and everything they told you. You could repeat their username verbatim symbol-for-symbol. These strangers that you became friends with were the reason you met them.
Your significant other. Your lover. The one you spent your days and night up on Skype with, or chatting to on Kik. It was only a few years after you met that the question was popped up out of the blue. You both agreed. You agreed you could work it out. You agreed that you both would save up money to meet each other. Your relationship began to blossom and grow with each day the two of you care for it. The more you talked, the more you had in common. You had mutual mates. Oddly enough, some of them started dating each other. You'd both waste hours on-end on Skype calls that meant the world to you. And finally, the day has finally come...
Your friends and their relationships have worked things out together as well. All of you, as mates, decided to travel together to meet your significant others at a hotel in the middle of your traveling points; Minneapolis, Minnesota. One side coming from Seattle, Washington, and the other from Chicago, Illinois.
This visit could make or break your relationship. Only the fates can tell that, but only can steer in the right direction it heads afterwards.
