    - N a m e :
[ Her name is Gabrielle [Gah-BREE-el] Vittoria [vi-TOH-Ree-AH] Ford [FOH-rd]. Gabrielle's name is from a long line of French and English adjectives, meaning "God is my Strength". She may not be religious enough to say God is her strength, but Gabrielle is very strong. Vittoria on the other hand is a delicate sounding, strong meaning Italian name. It translates to "victory" or "to conquer". It highly resembles Gabry herself. Now, Ford means "to cross" or "crossing". It was derived from an English term, "Down by the Ford", which was almost a river ]

    - n i c k n a m e s [if any ] :
[ Gabry is one of her many nicknames, among Vitt, Truck [for her surname], elder, and Gabby. Gabrielle almost always prefers the nickname Gabry, because its uncommon and spunky, like herself. ]

    - g e n d e r :
[ Gabrielle is quite feminine, thank you very much. She would be somewhat offended, and would also be sporting extremely high raised eyebrows. ]

    - a g e :
[ Gabry was born on April second at one thirty a.m., making her an Aries [♈] [and giving her mother quite a laugh, but that's a story for later]. She's eighteen. ]

    - w h e r e i c o m e f r o m
    [ Gabry is a full-fledged city girl. ]

- p h y s i c a l a p p e a r a n c e

    - height [ 5 ; 6 ] :
[ Gabry is stuck at an average height of five foot six. Most of her height comes from her long, lanky, and muscled legs. Nothing to get her too noticed, but her height can make an loose impression. Obviously, the rest of her height comes from the waist up. Miraculously, she is a perfect square, height and width wise. Her arm span is about as long as she is tall. ]

    - hair color:
[ Gabrielle's hair is a dark, dark brown that appears black. However, if she cut it shorter than her length now [which is around a foot] it would actually look somewhat brown to the naked eye. Her hair is naturally wavy, but when it's relatively short, it goes crazy. That's why Gabry won't go anywhere without her hair done; she looks like a demon-child. Gabry does prefer to curl her hair when possible, and braid it in three styles: waterfall, classic over-the-shoulder, and fishtail. Her hair is very healthy, and the only reason she doesn't like camping is that when she's gone for a while, her hair goes crazy. ]

    - eye color:
[ Chocolate would be the closest way to describe Gabrielle's dark, somewhat mesmerizing eyes. Dark chocolate would be even closer, actually. When you had very low light, and you look at Gabry, you might be confused for a second. Her eyes are so dark, in dim lighting, the brown of her iris can blend with the black or her pupil. Glasses, however have always only been an option, but she chooses not to buy them. Her eyesight is twenty - twenty-five ]

    - skin tone :
[ Gabry has relatively attractive skin. Not perfect, as that's impossible, but pretty fair in condition. Gabry is a little darker than most Americans' pale colors, because of her mix of Native American and Italian families. It wasn't her grandfather, but great grandfather that married a woman by the name of Elizabeth Smith, who then took on the name of Ford. The woman was about as pale as human beings come, and with his Navajo [now preferably the Díne] blood, passed down through the lines, until it reached Gabrielle. She looks naturally like she has a very nice tan, but its pretty much everywhere on her. She sadly doesn't have any freckles, which when she was little, Gabry would use black sharpie to pen them on her cheek bones. ]

    - bodily build
[ First of all, she's extremely proud of her weight. It's not something she's going to be screaming up and down the street, but she's happy she's not struggling with obesity. Her parents have always been nutrition nerds, and fed her good, healthy food for dinner and lunch, but that still didn't stop them from spoiling her occasionally with junk food. Gabry will be the first to admit that she doesn't have a gap between her thighs, or exquisite collarbones like those walking-dead models, but she has a little bit of a belly, and some arm-fat to spare. Its nothing she's ashamed of, actually, and Gaby is proud to admit she weighs one hundred twenty two pounds. But Gabry isn't bulky either. She's one of those cases [not uncommon, actually] that has a skinny physique, but still has that extra weight. ]

    - body modifications
[ She's also sporting a few scars; two from bike riding -- one on her right hands palm, and the other on her left knee -- one from a sparkler -- this one is in-between her fingers -- and finally one from an accidental knife cut when she was little, and got into the drawers. Gabry is dying to get a small, all black tattoo of a sparrow, about half an inch across on the thumb-knuckle of her right hand. Yet, she knows it's not going to happen until she's twenty one, so she has to wait. For now, she's settled with earrings [not gaged or anything extravagant], just a hole per ear. But the moment she turns eighteen, she's going to go straight to a tattoo shop. ]

- e n r i c h i n g - i n f o r m a t i o n

    - p e r s o n a l i t y:
[ The first thing you will ever need to know about Gabrielle is she isn't going to ever lay down and take what you throw at her. She is going to stick up for herself, and defend all that matters to her. She's a ball of fire, ready to burn anything in her way. Gabry has never been the type of girl to let a man just walk all over her. These Boots are Made for Walkin' by Nancy Sinatra describe her perfectly; never letting somebody make the choices for her.
The second thing about Gabrielle is she is extremely independent. Women that just rely on men are simpletons and dead-broke females who want a meal ticket. It isn't her style to ever rely on anybody else. Really, the only thing group projects taught her was you can't rely on anybody because they will always fall short. If you yourself don't go the extra mile, then why should she? Gabrielle isn't afraid of getting a bad grade just to show you what you caused. She may not be a fan of it, but Gabry has done it before. When she was younger, and horribly afraid of her parents, she would always pick up the slack of the other children. Soon after, though, she became frustrated with her reputation as the girl who would always fix the issue at hand. She quickly quit following through with her promises, and her rep went down. But she had learned a valuable lesson; nobody will ever go the extra mile, unless you yourself don't.
Along with her cryptic aspect on group work, Gabry is extremely independent. She's the type of girl who prefers track meets over volleyball, cheer, and dance because she hates working with other girls. If one breaks their leg, where does that leave her? Now, Gabry doesn't always have this dark, depressed outlook on other people. Usually, if you can prove yourself in her eyes, you will become her ... shall we say somewhat of an idol? maybe it's too strong a word, but she will admire you in some form. Picking up on her slack is something she doesn't like though. She knows she's fully capable of taking care of herself and her part, so tiding up her problems won't sit well with her. Now, fixing another person's stupidity is amazing for Gabry, but her own is just plain annoying. Which leads us to her next trait; she's moody.
Gabry isn't just moody at her feminine time o' the month, but when anything that doesn't go somewhat in her way happens. For example, when her family moves, and she loves her current life, she becomes moody, and cut off with them. Never will she do dangerous things because of it, but she may just snip at people for messing with her perfectly good life. Gabry does understand change, and that it's great for the mind and body, but quote; "OH MY GOD!? EVERY MONTH TO MOVE SOMEWHERE?" As you can read, she is very frustrated with her parents moving habits. One of the worst times to get on her bad side would be when she's having difficulty in her extracurricular life. Any normal human being would be extraordinarily frustrated when things pretty much start to fall apart. Well, Gabrielle kind of takes things into a whole new level. She will lock herself in her room with her iPod and her dog, just listening to the two together, or playing with the puppy on the ground. She doesn't eat, doesn't talk, she doesn't even answer her mother's calls to dinner or outings. Her mom had pretty much learned to leave Gabry alone when she needed to be.
Gabry isn't selfish, per se, but she can be a tad self-involved. When it comes down to it, her needs will always be put above yours, but she will share generously. This is an interesting mix of the two, but she can be very generous. For example in a situation where the two conjoin is when her family has just had dinner, and there is only a little bit of food left. Her and her younger brother are hungry, so they decide to split it. Now, of course, splitting something means divvying up the spoils. Gabrielle will take some for her, to satisfy her need instead of giving it all to her younger sibling, but she will give him a little more than herself, because he's growing, and she's totally good with her weight. It can be a virtue or a sin, depending on the situation, but then again, so does her level of enthusiasm.
Gabry is usually an outgoing, enthusiastic person without any ego problems. She enjoys coming up with the best dares at all the cool parties, usually has somebody to hang out with, and knows when to keep her mouth shut around teachers. That however, doesn't mean she's the cliche person. She knows how to have a lot of fun, but she's careful where it's at. Shoplifting is totally out of the question for her, because she knows it's easy to get away with, but when you're caught, you're screwed. It ceases to amaze Gabry how shoplifting and other illegal activities are fun ... you just get into trouble, and for what? That high? She'll be the first to tell you that that's ridiculous. There isn't any high you get from breaking the law. You're terrified, and the adrenaline gets going. If you're looking for a thrill, go cliff diving for fun. [yes, she's done it once.]
Gabry can't stand laziness. It's like this god awful pet peeve of hers. You want to upset Gabrielle, be lazy around her. That's why she can't stand her younger brother. Another thing she hates with a deep, dying passion is the driver's license district office. What is up with those horrible lines? The day she got her license was bad enough, but renewing them without missing a day or two of her life? Impossible. It's like Satan's little building to say "Now you're just being tested to see how well you hold up in my personal office." Her final largest issue is human nature. She loves to question things, and figure out if they're realistic or not, so when humans just brush things off as unimportant, and later go "Oh, should've listened, but oh well. I'm too lazy." causes her to struggle with her many moods. You either listen to her the first time, or you just ... hope for a quick death by her petite hands.
Some of the few things this girl is scared of are spiders, drowning, and suffocation. It's not exactly death that scares her, but the fact that she doesn't want to suffer by explosion of the lungs. Gabrielle does strangely know how to swim, so that's something that's fairly unusual for somebody, but drowning still terrifies her. Unless she inhales water, she's great in pools, lakes, rivers, and oceans. Suffocation is pretty much the same scenario. I guess you could just call it something along the lines of panicking that she's going to be conscious when and if her lungs explode. It's rather irrational, but it's how she feels, so you can't deny it, really.
At last, we hit her loves; family, beagles, and laughing. Laughing is something along the lines of her salvation. She constantly tells the story of a rich man who was on his death-bead, and ordered a jester, who upon employment, threw a pie at the man. The man soon after became upset because the pie-man ruined his sheets, so he threw it right back. The look on the jester's face was so funny, that the rich man began laughing. Each day, the jester came back, and the rich man's deadly disease vanished until many years later when he finally died of plain old age. She really wants to die like the rich man; laughing and loving life. Family is another "like" of hers. Her family matters most to her in her life, and she's going to do anything she can to protect them. Her hidden courage usually shines through when they're in trouble or sadness hits. She tries to be the shoulder to cry on. It may not always work, but it is something Gabry really strives for. And finally, her favorite animal is the beagle. she has almost an obsession with their floppy ears, and the way their noses follow anything they can pick up. She owns one herself, named Nemo, and the little six month old boy is quite the adventurous fellow. Gabry regularly excersizes him, and keeps him well trained. Training him is a skill requiring patience, and a lot of peanut butter, but she does it, because she loves the little guy ]

    - q u i r k s / h a b i t s
[ as a normal person, Gabrielle has a few things that she really shouldn't do; nail biting would be her biggest problem. She just bites and nibbles and bites and nibbles and bites and nibbles until her nails aren't anything but stumps. The next thing she tends to do is cross her arms, and tap her foot. She also likes to play with her hair. ]

      - b r i e f h i s t o r y :
[ Gabry's mother went into labor on April fools day, and thought she was going to get a trickster of a daughter. Apparently not. Gabry developed a severe case of pneumonia at only two months old, and was forced to stay in the hospital for another whole month. Really, Gabrielle wasn't able to leave the hospital for good until she was almost six months. Right after her pneumonia vanished, colic decided to invade her immune system. From an early age, her stomach was very achy, and she never felt ok with anybody touching it. She loves personal space, and always had. Her dad and her mom weren't exactly best of friends when she was little. The two of them had Gabrielle out of wedlock, so she herself as a human being was told she wasn't supposed to exist, because she "ruined" her mother's chance of having a normal family. Personally, Gabrielle has a secret loathing of her dad, because of the way he treated her mom. Once, when Gabry was little, she remembered him actually threatening her mom, and Gabry's mom taking her and running away. It was the safest thing to do at the time. But as she grew up, she began to hate the few days she had to go to her father's house. Slowly, he did however drift away when he remarried until he didn't want to see Gabry anymore. Gabry's stepfather was an entire different story. By the time she was in third grade, Gabry's mother had gone through two other boyfriends; a controlling one, and a drug addict. Her mom wasn't aware of the drugs in the second one until his brother passed away, but it was enough for her to take Gabry and run. Gabry's stepfather was a kind man. He was the one who raised her. He went to all of her school activities, and took her out to dinner on her birthdays. Her father wasn't really there until she turned fourteen. And even then, he wasn't around much. A frustrated Gabry finally plucked up the courage to demand never seeing him again, unless it was to visit her half siblings.
Later, Gabry's mother and her stepfather had a son. This was when Gabry was eleven, so the age difference was rather large. She was constantly baby sitting, voluntarily, actually, and enjoyed teaching him everything. It wasn't that she didn't like her alone time, but Gabry liked that he loved her unconditionally. Something she hadn't ever really felt. Her and her mom were different, but somebody younger was new. Her half siblings over at her father's, and her stepmother weren't exactly welcoming. She did however have a friend of her younger sibling's babysitter who she enjoyed talking to. Gabry would normally spend a night every weekend she was there for. This friend was actually two years older than her, but the two of them got along just fine. All around, Gabry had a fair childhood. Her friends were nice. Abstinence was easy for her, because she didn't want her child to go through the h--l she was in, and honestly, she did well at it. Throughout her childhood, Gabry kind of adopted a little beagle, who is now seven [she got him when she was eighteen] and he's been the only true consistency in her life. The little thing always loved her, and will until the day he dies. Gabry's been through a bit, but it's not tragic, really. Nowadays, this story is becoming more and more common. Gabry's relatively used to it.
But yet again, we aren't finished with her story. Her mother and her stepfather began to clash, fighting into the wee hours of the morning, scaring her brother into climbing into her bed at night. Soon, the fighting got horrible -- furniture was broken out of fits of rage. It got to the point where her brother actually ran away, and Gabry turned to drugs and other things that destroyed your body. She turned to selling her mom's jewelry to pay for the illegal substances. A few times, the girl ended up flat out stealing the drugs from the "safehouses". It was when her mom discovered a few packages in her room that she sent her to rehab. That didn't work, so Gabry was sent to this "farm thing". ]

    - o t h e r
[ Gabrielle is heterosexual. She hasn't ever really been curious about things like being bi or lesbian. She's just kind of accepted that's how she is. Gabry doesn't have an issue with people being gay/lesbian/bisexual. She just doesn't want to be one herself. Now, Gabry doesn't need to depend on a man to feed her, walk her, and clean up her messes. She's perfectly capable of doing that herself, but that doesn't mean she doesn't like their company. She will be the first to admit, her first serious boyfriend was in seventh grade. They lasted a whopping seven months, before he got bored and dumped her for one of her friends who had a rep as a better kisser. She shrugged it off, but by then, she was in the dating scheme. ]

Come on, oh my star is fading
And I swerve out of control
If I, if I'd only waited
I'd not be stuck here in this hole

Come here, oh my star is fading
And I swerve out of control
And I swear I waited and waited
I've got to get out of this hole

But time is on your side
        It's on your side now
Not pushing you down and all around
        It's no cause for concern

Come on, oh my star is fading
And I see no chance of release
And I know I'm dead on the surface
        But I am screaming underneath

And time is on your side
Is on your side; It's on your side now
Not pushing you down, and all around
No it's no cause for concern

Stuck on the end of this ball and chain
And I'm on my way back down again
Stood on a bridge, tied to the noose
        Sick to the stomach
You can say what you mean
But it won't change a thing
        I'm sick of the secrets
Stood on the edge, tied to the noose

You came along and you cut me loose
You came along and you cut me loose
You came along and you cut me loose

He can't remember anything from his past; he suffered an accident once whilst falling off a young horse but still has kept riding and training young horses. He's been told what his life was like and who he was, but he won't accept the person he used to be, as if a stranger from a storybook trying to fit into the skin of the protagonist. He is nineteen years old.

Image

If you saw James walking down the street, you wouldn't say he was a remarkably handsome youth, nothing out of the norm. Perhaps if you were the observant type, you might note the nervous twitch of fingers, the constant movement of his soft brown gaze; a strange demeanor reserved only to those that have trouble holding on to what they are and aren't comfortable in their skin. You would say he was, well, pretty average. Not too long russet brown hair with somewhat of a lank curl to it, a nervous smile plastered on an angular oval shaped face attatched to a lanky body that seems too thin and bony for the height he supports. His stance can go from a semi-nervous mostly relaxed slouch to a completely tense and stiff demeanor when he is angry or being argued with, told off. His smile eases tension off most people's shoulders as it is relaxed, unlike most of his physical features.

His hands are one of his most noticeable features - apart from his soft brown, doe-like eyes. They are bony and has long fingers, wherein one may notice tendons wriggling under his skin. They are constantly moving; tapping a table or drumming his guitar and very soft when it comes to toying with bit in a horse's mouth.

He has light build; not weak, but doesn't work out except from the occasional jog every two or three mornings. He is about 1.75m tall and weighs around 70kg, which makes him seem feather-weight and lanky rather than the burly build many teenage girls prefer.

He is from spanish descent, therefore sports a more-tan-than-average skintone that easily darkens with the sun. He does not get burnt with ease. Clothes-wise, he wears navy blues, greys and burgundy colours more often than not, usually clothed in riding gear and wearing jeans if in casual clothing. Formalwear consists of shirts and trousers, nothing too fancy. He doesn't come from a very wealthy background, so his clothes aren't fancy, which doesn't bother him completely.

The thing that defines James is his amnesia. James, once a semi-spoilt rich kid, used to work with young european horse prospects to train them and earn money once sold. Sadly, one of these soon spooked, rearing, and falling on top of him, putting him in coma for three weeks and causing him to loose all those memories accumulated over seventeen years. This has caused him endless troubles as he has struggled to redefine himself in every aspect, and his parents insistence has only caused him harm, rather than good.

The best way to describe James' personality is by comparing it to that of a wild, young, unbroken horse. He doesn't understand that which surrounds him, causing him to revert to fight or flight instinct; he either lashes out, or, more frequent, freezes to the spot. He has a very hard time connecting to people, interacting socially, because he always dwells on 'the past' he had, what he was meant to be, who he would be had the accident not happened. Therefore, he usually stays silent, he tries to avoid the chitchat, the talk. He tries to respond solely to direct questions because sarcasm and irony don't mix well with him - he simply has a hard time understanding them and telling these apart from normal conversation - but if he feels that the person is holding true to what they're saying, he becomes extremely uncomfortable because society, in general, has taught him against such thing. He is very open and honest, very true and pure about his thoughts, which, apparently, isn't how it works these days. It seems that, nowadays, it's all twisted and there's no honesty, no real feeling behind words.

This trait singles James out from the rest; he usually spends time alone as he is not found spontaneous, funny or handsome enough to make good company for anyone, let alone friends or girls. James is hurt by this, but he masks his feelings well. Furthermore, he is very hard to pry open - like a live clam clinging to a scraggy cliff-face -, simply because he doesn't believe in people, and they don't seem to take to his strange, silent but brutally honest antics. He has a very hard time lying, because he finds that he is very bad at it and it never gets anywhere.

Because of this, he exudes an impression of coldness, of ignorance, but, contrary to most's beliefs, James is rather intelligent, and extremely hardworking. He will not complain at any task given, simply because he gives thanks he is alive after his accident. He loves discussing scientific subjects because he finds that science equals truth. Science doesn't lie, but words are sly and can be easily twisted, can be interpreted in so many manners, so everyone reacts differently, whilst science has only one meaning. As unlikely as it may seem, he is very passionate about his beliefs, but always keeps quiet about them. Only when truly challeneged, provoke, will he arise to defend them. Any taunting, insults, jibes he will ignore.

This is James milder facet. He worsens drastically at night - further fuelled by his chronic insomnia, which prevents him from sleeping at any point - usually under the influence of alcohol or the occasional smoke. He becomes sharper, with a wittier, less forgiving tongue. This is the only time at which he is at ease with himself, forgetting about his problems, making him ruthless and unforgiving. He doesn't care about others at that moment. He's too centered cursing his own bad luck.

      Quirks

Smokes, drinks. Uses these to escape the short list of unhappy memories that haunt him.
      Somewhat paranoid.
Plays the accoustic guitar, knows how to speak german
Eager to avoid direct confrontation. Is fascinated by guns, and other quick death devices.

these things about yourself?
GT: Like all these personal attributes about you
as if theyre written down somewhere like a

GT: So you just believe them and hope that
