She rolled her eyes in a playful way. "Fine" She said giggling. After him she got her wallet out and paid for the 100 dollar board and 50 dollars because of the attachment. "Thanks" She said to the cashier,giving him her card. After he was done,she took back her card and slid it into her wallet. Then she put the wallet into her pocket. "Ready?" She asked Jacob. She got the bag with her bathing suit and smiled at her board. She loved it. "Thank you so much Jacob,I'm so happy I got a new board! Mainly I can't turn my car around turns,so I could've crashed even if I was trying to get here." She then added "Your board looks awesome"

Jacob smiled, his eyes shining. "No problem. I'm glad you got the board you wanted." He said happily, motioning with his head at her board, since both of his hands were full. "Yep! We can put our stuff in the back seat and trunk." He said, walking out of the store. "Maybe we can shop around the mall more, if you want." He smiled sheepishly at Rose, not sure if she was the mall shopping kind of girl. She didn't seem like it, but then again, Jacob didn't seem like a lot of things he was. He pushed the board in his hand up a little bit, to give himself a second to reposition his hand on the side of the board. He used the back binding to lean his arm against, so he could carry the board easily.

She smiled. Jacobs personality was great for Rose. Rose then said "Good,I would love to explore the mall. I'm a shopping person,trust me." She giggled. "It's just fun. But it's up to you" She smiled and put her other hand on her board to carry it better. The board has a pearl white then a Hawaii flower type thing. Rose just thought about how to tell him she was going back to Hawaii after the summer, She hasn't told him that yet. Rose took a deep breath and looked down. She then looked at the truck. Walking towards the back,she thought Tell him when we get back? She then opened the back seats so he would have enough room in the very back to put his snowboard in. She smiled adding her bag with her swim suit in there. "I'm ready." She said smiling.

Jacob shrugged. "We can go shopping if you want. We have to go to the pet store though. I need to get treats for Chell." He said happily, thinking of the black lab puppy in his room at the house. He placed his snowboard and boots in the trunk, instead of in the back seat like rose's surfboard. He closed the trunk, making sure he heard the lock click. He looked at the surfboard, sitting exposed in the back seat when a thought came to him. "Somebody might steal your board. Let me close the car." He said, walking past her and grabbing the fabric hood. After a few minutes, the hood was secured to the front of the car, and he looked at Rose. "Okay, lets go." He said, giving her a cocky grin and shaking his head so his bangs swooped out of his face.

She smiled and nodded. "I need those apple pellets for horses. Oh and some halters." She smiled and stood next to him. Rose couldn't get the words to tell him she wont be near him. But they aren't that close. So maybe he won't care but will friendly miss her. But she knows she likes him. She put her hand on her head and sighed. I like him but what if he doesn't like me? She looked at him and back down at the ground thinking. "Ok" She said and smiled following him.

"Okay, so first we go to the pet store." Jacob said happily, walking with a bounce in his step. He looked over at Rose, noticing that she didn't look too good. "Hey, whats wrong?" He asked gently, stopping before the entrance to the mall. His eyes were concerned, the blues and greys swirling together in a mixture of dread and something he couldn't describe. A sinking feeling fell to the pit of his stomach as he tried to tell himself there was nothing wrong. 'What did I do? Am I being... I don't know what I'm doing wrong. Whats going on?' Jacob thought to himself, thinking of every possible answer of why she was acting this way.

"Deal" She said with a small giggle. Then she looked down again. Just cut to the chase. Maybe.... Ahe thought to herself. "Well,you really do not have't to answer this. Do..." She stuttered. "Do you like me?" She regreted the words a little. This might ruin our friendship! I swear why did I ask him? She thought. Rose frowned. It was only the first day of being here. What if he didnt like her? "Sorry if it offends you..." She said looking into his eyes. Though she could make out a smile on her face,she just felt scared if the question was to quick.

Jacob was startled by the question, but didn't let it show when he looked at Rose. "Yes. I do very much. But we barely know each other. I think we should wait a bit before dating or anything." he said kindly, planting a little kiss on Rose's cheek. "Now, off to the pet store?" He asked happily, grinning as if nothing had happened. He reached for Roses hand to hold as they walked. "Just because we're not dating doesn't mean I don't like you though." He whispered into her ear as he opened the door to the mall.

"I agree!" She said about the fact that they just met not even two hours possibly ago. She nodded. "I'm with you on that." Rose smiled and blushed when he kissed her on the cheek. "Same here" She whispered back. "Ok so I need...Apple Pellets,Night Blankets,and a few halters. I have four horses then a st.Bernard puppy. This is so hard to keep track of." She giggled. "I'm surprised my dad hasn't texted me saying that I better be surfing."

Jacob laid on his stomach, limbs spread out around him. The covers were pushed down to the bottom of the bed, though his right foot still lay under them. Somewhere in the house, he heard a thud. He slipped out of his deep sleep, entering a half conscious state. It was as if he was awake, but still resting at the same time. Jacob turned over, the light shining on his eyes through the window.

Instantly he was awake, completely out of any sort of sleep. He moaned, willing himself to fall back to sleep. Opening his eyes slightly, he saw on his iPod dock that it was only 8:23. "This is what I get for picking a room on the east side." He moaned to himself, throwing his legs onto the ground and sitting up. He rubbed the sleep from his eyes, and let out a long, but quiet, yawn. Jacob stood up slowly, and walked to the door of the room. He peered out, checking to see if anybody was in the hallway, then walked to the bathroom.

A few minutes later he walked back out, his bladder under control and face rinsed down with water, to wake him up. He galloped down the stairs, and walked straight to the kitchen, looking for something to eat.
