Tori listened to her friend go through the One Direction relationships. Hearing Mickey passionately rambling on, Tori thought it was somehow a good thing. It was beyond impossible, but perhaps, just perhaps, one of them might fall for her friends. With a little drama and bumps along the way, she wanted her friends to be happy. Besides, the relationships that took hard work were the ones worth fighting for. As these thoughts ran through her mind, Tori realized she was being selfish. When you actually thought about it, it was quite tragic for the boys, but they always seemed to be able make a joke out of everything. It's almost like it was a talent to break out into laughter when things got awkward, and Tori reminded that. However, the boys were still human beings, hurting and deep inside probably crying, so she felt sympathetic toward them. "Yeah, it's quite sad... So is the song, but it's lovely. The lyrics are beautiful and poetic, if you must. And the voices? A work of art; simply amazing," she remarked with a hint of subtle melancholy. On the other hand, her gloominess almost instantly faded when she noticed how close they were. Tori had given so much attention to her entertaining friends she did not even notice how close they were until Mickey seemed to buzz with excitement. Perhaps, the brunette was on a sugar rush? Unfortunately, once thrilled Mickey's shoulders suddenly fell, and Tori could almost feel her dear friend's world crashing. Then, she heard the voice; it echoed through Tori's ear, and she could not even imagine how it would affect Mickey, the only one who would understand it. Tori opened her mouth to ask about it, but she was cut off by the melody of Mickey's gleeful voice saying "wrong number." Knowing Mickey for so long, Tori knew it was a lie. A big one.
"You okay?" Tori asked gingerly, but she realized those were not the right words to say as soon as she finished her question. Whenever someone asked the secretive brunnette that, a quick "fine" was responded before moving on and nonchalantly continuing life. Carefully choosing her words now, she asked, "Do you want to stay at my house tonight?" Alright, it was not carefully thought out. In fact, Tori unconsciously blurted it out without thinking it through. She had no idea why she invited Mickey over. Mickey had a home, and her friend usually slept there, of course. However, Tori almost felt like she wanted her friend by her side there for one night. Maybe to ask what was troubling her or something else only her instincts knew about. On the other hand, Tori could see the road the conversation was heading down, and it was not the paradise with lollipops and rainbows. No, it was dark and sister like anything bad could happen but no radiant sunshine could find its through the shadow covered towering trees. Hoping to off track in another direction, Tori sung loudly with a glowing grin, "I'm in love with you and all these little things!"
{ listened to little things for at least a half hour... i'm addicted. :p }
