Kay looked up and offered a smile "Thanks." She replied "Tell you the truth my mom practically sets me up with d0uche bags." She more less muttered. She turned away for a moment looking out the window at the lightly falling snow when she heard Mayday's soft mew. She turned back and reached up to rub Mayday's back. "So what's your name?" She asked staring at the little kitten making herself a nice bed in the boys lap.

I smiled at his gesture. It was snowing outside gently, which made me zone out for a second.. Well okay maybe two, but it fell so peacefully, I just got lost in its trance.

Michael asked i wanted to walk around the lobby and explore this hotel thingie. Of course I shook my head to agree with what he said.

" yeah, sure. I've got nothing better to do.." Then I realized my words sounded sharp and rude, I quickly blurted " plus it'll be a lot of fun." I smiled nervously. Man, am I really that cruel??

I smiled as the kitten made herself comfortable in my lap. I stroked it down its back a few times before turning my attention back to the girl.

" right? My mom sets me up with girls all the time.. Because its ' normal ' for a guy my age to cheat. Man my mom can be so stupid.. " my statement turns into a mumble at the end.

I was about to change the subject when the girl did it before I could. Fweew, thank god. She asks for my name and I shyly smile at her. I hate my name, I absolutely dread it.. But it's not all bad, right?

" it's Parker James Londoner, but it's just easier to say my first name.." I sorta dread on a little.. Just a simple "Parker" would've Ben fine, but leave it to me to make things difficult..

"Parker, that's a really cool name. Mines completely boring, its Kay Shannon Drew." She hesitated before saying "You know, I like how your not the kinda guy who flirts with a girl first time he meets them,it just happened to often." Which was true, most if the guys her mom set her up with we're total jerks who tried to kiss her before they even knew her name.
Then there was a ring at the office landline, "Hello, yes, I believe she's right here. Okay miss," the attendant answered. "Kay Shannon Drew your mothers of the phone for you." She said looking around the room. Kay glanced at Parker for a second, slightly nervous, she walked over and answered the phone. "Hello?" She said. "Kay! Get your butt over here and clean out the garage! You must have left the door open and now there's a bird and a ton of snow in there, the drive can't even take the limo out!" Kay hesitated a moment "Mom you left it open for him yesterd-" "I don't want that from you, get over here and clean that garage before I send the staff after you!" Kay was about to answer when she heard a click. She gently hung up the cord phone and walked back to Parker "I have to go clean my moms garage." She said biting her lip slightly.

I smile at her. Kay seemed nice. She was really laid back, which was cool. Not all girls are like that. I was justa bout to compliment her on her name, but i got so rudely interupted by a phone call. It didn't bug me too much, though. I just kept my cool and waited patiently for her to get off the phone.. and by the sound of it, it must be a parent she was talking to and she was getting griped out for something. I could definately hear a womans voice straining into the phone and yelling at Kay. It was probably her mother or a guardian. Who ever it was, was pissed about something.

When she got off the phone, she told me about having to clean her garage. I smirked and say, " Doesn't sound too bad. Well, i'm ready to clean it if you are." I stand up and set the kitten on the chair i was currently sitting on and popped my back. I ran my fingers through my hair and shook my head to the right side, swishing my hair back to normal. Even though my hair was curly-ish and sorta thick, i could still swish it a little.

Kay watched him get up "You wanna help me in the freezing cold clean the snow filled garage and get a bird out?" she smiled, and took Mayday putting her back in her crate. "Okay, but don't say I never warned you about my mom, shes a b****." she said leading Parker outside and up the street toward her house. SHe reached the front steps of the abnormally large house and glanced at him before starting up in knee deep snow. She opened the front door carefully and let parker in before stepping into the large dark house. "Mom I'm here!" she yelled as her mom appeared in the halls. "Thank god that bird is driving me crazy! And why did you bring a friend, I never gave you permission to bring a friend!" she glared at Parker "Why are you here!?" Kay slightly winced.

I walk casually with Kay as she leads me out of the hotel. She tells me about ehr mom being a b*tch, and i laugh a little and shrug my shoulders," I think i can handle it. I've been through alot worse than a moody mom wanting to claw my eyes out."

We make it to her house and already i'm freezing my as- i mean butt out here. I tread through the knee deep snow and make my way to her porch. I shake the snow off my jeans and hoodie before we enter her house. I stomp my feet, ridding the clasping snow on my shoes. ANd as soon as we walk into the darkness, the lights flicker on and her mother is griping us out.

Kays' mother yells at me and asks why i'm here. I flaask her a friendly smile and say," I'm just here to help with the garage situation, ma'm. And get rid of the small bird in here. I'm not gunna do anything dreadfull, i give you my word." I say in a soft, and gentle tone. I didn't want her to keep up with this yelling, it seemd to echo through the house everytime she shouted.

Kay's mom sighed, clearly annoyed, "Just clean the garage you two." she snapped pointing in the general direction of the garage. Kay hurried away from her mom quickly, eager to get away. She was happy Parker handled it like he did, most of her friends just leave. When she reached the garage and closed the door she turned to him, "I'm so sorry about her, she does this to all my friends since dad left..."

I smile and shake my head. " It's no biggie, like i said, i've dealt with worse. Way worse. " I switch the light on and blink my eyes a few times to get used to the change of light in the room. When i get used to it, i turn my attention back to Kay." And your mom didn't seem too bad. She just seemed a bit stressed." I say, trying to ease her up a little. I pick up an old carboard box so i could move it out of my way. The garage wasn't so bad.. just cold and tons of wet snow everywhere on the ground.

I grabbed a shovel that was closset to me and tossed a red one to Kay. I began shoving snow and found the silence quite boring. I grabbed my ipod and began playing it as the wave of music flowed out of the ipod touch from my back pocket. THe sweet music was Owl City, a secret band i would obsess over. I litteraly had evey album by them.. i love adams' music.

Kay glanced back at Parker, "Owl city?" she asked. "Their a really great band..." She said smiling completely honestly. They were one of her favorite bands, maybe not top but they're up there. "and Adam's so adorable." she murmured to herself smiling.
She reached down and picked up a handful of cold snow. She hands froze but she molded it into a snow ball. She glanced at Parker's back she partly smiled to herself looking back at the snowball. She gently threw it at Parker's back and turned around picking the shovel up at fast as she could acting as if nothing happened.

I noded my head and said," I know, right? I'm so jelly of his great looks." I blush a little at what i blurted, but it was true. Adam was hot, not trying to sound gay, but it was true. I just decided to jam out to the music playing and shovel more snow. My back was starting to hurt, so i stood up for a second and cracked it, slightly. I was still sore, but i continued to shovel.

Then, all of a sudden, something wet hits my black hoodie. I quickly whip my head around to see who it was and Kay was just still shoveling snoe." Did you feel that?" I ask her, wondering what hit me.
