Kay's eyes grew a little wider, "I'm so sorry about your dad." She apologised. "I mean I lost my dad in the war but I never got to see him very much anyway. I'm not really sure what a dad is." She blushed. She never really told anyone that but it was true. She looked up at the boys face again, "So I never caught your name.." she trailed as Mayday scooted out from under the chair and attempted to claw her way up the arm to the boy.

Laini furrowed her eyebrows, "Its not funny to tease people" she said pretending to be sad, "And what are you scared to do something with me Dante?" she teased just before her name was called. Finally, a room. Standing up, Laini walked over and got her room key, "Thanks" she mumbled and walked away "For nothing" she added with alittle attitude for having to wait so long. When she got back to her stuff she looked at Dante, "Im... im gonna be right back" she said and with that she grabbed her stuff and darted out the door, leaving Chiffton there with Dante on purpose.
Laini got to her room after trudging through the cold snow. She shook out her arms and dragged her stuff to her room. In the next 10 minutes she had her stuff unpacked. Her kitten, who was happy to be out of her confinement, mewed, "What?" she said rubbing her ears "Its cold huh?" she said before walking into her bathroom. She looked at herself in the mirror, redid her ponytail and fixed her bow before flicking the light off and leaving. "Ill be back ok Socks" she said and kissed her head. Placing a bowl of cat food by the door, Laini looked at her cat one last time before shutting the bedroom door and leaving.
"Im back" she said grinning as she pulled open the door to the lobby. Laini huffed as she walked/stomped/dragged herself over to her chair and sat down, "I feel like I just ran a marathon or something" she said putting her hands over her face. Looking over at Dante she frowned "Thanks alot" she joked pouting once again.

I smiled and tucked a strand of brown curly hair behind my ear. I smield with a tint of blush and said," Thanks." My tiny dimple appeared on my left cheek from smiling. It wasn't that big of a deal, but this guy, Micheal, was a big flirt, no doubt. I don't know if he was playing with me, or beign honest, so i tried to not let his words get to me emotionally.. not after the countless hopeless dreams and heartbreak. No, not that. Never ever again.

I sook my head." It's fine, really. I'm sort of used to not having him around." I paused a second as i felt claws digging into my arm. I smiled and laughed a little as i picked the cat up. I looked back up at the girl," But i still think about him, alot." I said in a more serious, almost saddened facial expression.
THe pretty girl asks what my name is which makes me snap out of whatever i was doing, i think i was daydreaming..? I don't know, i can't really remember.. but i smiled and said." Parker, Parker James Londoner." My eyes glinted in the buildings lights and i asked." And yours is...?" I lead her on to finish the sentance.

Then, she tells me about not knowing what a father was like.. which is upsetting to hear." But who's going to protect you from those d*ck heads called guys who play with your heart? Who are you going to have a faather daughter dance with? You don't even have a dad to fight off the monsters under your bed or in your closet.." i muttered a bit too loudly than normal. I guess i was thinking out loud and that's what always gets me into trouble. Every. Single. Time..

Dante rolled hsi eyes at her comments, trying unsuccessfully not to crack a smile and laugh. He didn't say anything to her remarks, just made a few sarcastic faces, and stuck his tongue out again. Once he heard her name, he pouted, she'd have to leave and he'd be here alone again. He was starting to open his mouth to say a goodbye, but then shut it and nodded hearing her shout she'd be back. He smirked, now he wouldn't be bored.
He tapped his fingers on the chair, waiting for her to get back, glancing at the door every now and then. His head turned as he heard the door open, and saw Laini drag her self in, she looked tired.
"I would've helped if you had asked ya know," he said to her, looking at her sit with an eyebrow raised.
He sighed, standing up from his chair, and shoving his hands in his pocket.
"So, what now? I've been in this waiting room for over an hour, I need to get out of here," he said to her, hinting that they had to go somewhere else, anywhere else, as long as it was somewhat warm. Well, just a few degrees warmer than it was outside.

It was so upsetting to hear that word come out of her mouth. Even though i barely know her, i still cared. Every girl needs a father to protect ehr from monsters when she's little and fight off the horny dogs trying to get in his daughters pants when she's a teen. Every girl needs a father to walk her down the isle when she's about to get married.. every girl deserves a dad. And i know what it's like to not have a dad.. i lost mine when i was fifteen. But i couldn't imagine what it would be like for a girl to loose her father.. he should be playing a big role in her life..

" If it helps, you can always call me to beat up the d0uche bags that hurt you. I know it wouldn't be the same as your dad fighting them or yelling at them, but i can atleast try to protect you, right?" I pause for a moment and finish the rest of my thoughts." I mean you are my friend, and i always got my friends' backs." i give her a heart warming smile.

I might not be her dad, but i'll make sure to kick some guys' a$$ for messing with my female friends. I don't have many, but when i meet a knew girl and we become friends, then i watch out for them like i do with my guy friends. I think every girl deserves to have someone protect her.

Micheal's blue eyes shifted towards the snow that continuously piled up outside. A little bit of a sigh let his lips and he looked back at Kinsey. "Normally, I would offer you to join me on a stroll, but seeing the weather has yet to get better, I don't believe that would be the best idea." He glanced down slightly before his eyes moved back to the dark haired girl. The bubbling of an idea sprouted in his eyes. "Unless you would care to accompany me on an adventure around the hotel and lobby?" He asked. He guessed he sounded a bit childish, but things as simple as walking around a building tended to be an enlightening experience. Why that was escaped him, although he didn't believe that an explanation would have to be in order.
