{Shasta is really shy, the kind of girl who's always staring at her shoelaces and hiding behind doors, but once you get to know her, you'll realize that she's outgoing, friendly, nice, funny, and that she has a bad side. Some people hate her, though she hasn't given them any reasons that she knows of, but that's okay with her. She really doesn't care what people think of her, and that can be confusing. Her teachers have always hated her, because she doesn't pay attention, and reads her way through school. She has always told her friends that if they were ever in trouble, to blame her. She has her ways of getting out of things! She loves horses. Her mother had always loved them, too, up until she died, while riding her horse, of a heart attack.
