Elena looked back over at Henry, just in time to see his grin drop when he looked at her. That in turn made hers faulted. It hurt to think they could barely stand each other. If it weren't for Blythe then they would be miles apart by now. She spotted one of her closest advisors standing at the end of the garden, waiting for her. That only meant she was needed for counsil once again. "I'm sorry Blythe, I love you but this kingdom won't stop, not even for you" Elena said softly to the child, sounding sad as her eyebrows created in regret. "You'd better take him, I have to go..." She said to Henry, feeling a bit miserable if she was honest.
(( You liar! I am not! *crosses arms* ))
Henry looked up to Elena again when she spoke to Blythe, her words harboring a regretful note to them. Immediately, he began to look around to see what could be dragging her away from Blythe, and, soon enough, he's eyes fell upon one of the many councilmen of the castle. He frowned in the man's direction, his sympathy going out to Elena as he looked back to her. He took Blythe from her arm's gingerly, his frown remaining as he kept his slightly saddened gaze on her. "I'm sorry," he muttered quietly, his eyes fast to find the grass. He knew how much she loved Blythe, and it had to have been hard for her to need to be constantly leaving him for her duties to the kingdom. While she was busy every second, he had downtime, and it seemed wrong to him. He should have been the one busy all the time and she should have been the one able to spend a good half of her time with Blythe. Just as old times, he wished he was somehow able to take her place. "Come find me as soon as you can." He paused. "Otherwise, I think Blythe will go mad with all the things I offer him that he doesn't like," he teased, his grin faint, though he hoped his small lightheartedness would help her if only a little.
