Zara smiled as he placed her hand in hers she felt like one again

James shook his head. "I'm taking on a ruffian here."

Katrina laughed.

James laughed a bit. "So, will see you tomorrow? It's only I have some very important boring lord jobs to be doing."

Katrina chuckled. "Tomorrow then. Wear something pretty" She teased. She turned and head off, smiling.

Elena didn't notice Henry's obvious discomfort at her presence, she was too busy smiling down at Blythe who was sporting a big, happy baby grin, the kind that made anyone and everyone go 'aww, so cute!'. He was though and thats what made him so adorable. Elena grinned at Blythe's little young laugh and looked over at Heny, chuckling at his teasing words. "Poor Blythe probulary now refuses to fall asleep with you around until his father finds his favourite flowers. God only knows what you'd make the child do while he slept" She teased back. "Ha! Sensible?! I'm anything but sensible, thinking of my past adventures" Elena smirked at her son. She shifted a little into a more comfortable position, sitting on her thigh and curling her legs under her. That at her knees didn't ache so much from having her weight on them.

Henry chuckled faintly at Elena's teasing words, content with the fact that she seemed comfortable enough around him. As long as Blythe was nearby, it always seemed to be that way. "I'll just have to go on a garden quest until I finally find the one he likes," he joked, chuckling faintly as he let his gaze over the garden as the image of him crawling on all fours, picking one of each flower, offering each and every one of them to Blythe, strapped to his back, until the child was finally satisfied. That would certainly be a moment he would pray no one he knew happened to meander over to the garden to spot him. He looked back to Elena when she spoke, catching the way she smirked down at Blythe. "Well, you don't offer him marigolds, do you?" he asked teasingly, his eyes drifting down to Blythe with a playful, pouting frown.

Elena chuckled, she could actually imagine Henry venturing around the Castle Gardens, questing day and night just to please his tiny son. "Wouldn't that be a sight to see Blythe?" She asked the little boy teasingly, loving his cute laugh as he sensed the playfulness in the air about them. Elena's lips curled up in a smile as she looked over at Henry, trying not to laugh as she certainly wouldn't want to be Blythe if she did. "No, I offer him food, I have yet to see him turn his nose up at that" She chuckled, pressing a small kiss to the child's warm temple. She felt so glad she'd spent the last 8 and a half months with a screwed up life, even just to have this one week with her son, Henry or no Henry.

Henry could not help but grin at Blythe's young laughter, the boy's happiness contagious no matter the situation. His gaze was fond upon the blond child until he could feel Elena's eyes on him, in which he dared to meet them, his grin remaining for only a moment before he could feel it beginning to fade. He quickly adverted his gaze, hoping that Elena had looked back down to Blythe to kiss his temple before she noticed. "Well, he's a smart boy for that," he praised with a small chuckle, his eyes lighting up as he looked to their son again. He smiled almost stupidly when Blythe returned the gaze with smiling eyes.

James walked off to his chambers, grinning to himself.

Elena looked back over at Henry, just in time to see his grin drop when he looked at her. That in turn made hers faulted. It hurt to think they could barely stand each other. If it weren't for Blythe then they would be miles apart by now. She spotted one of her closest advisors standing at the end of the garden, waiting for her. That only meant she was needed for counsil once again. "I'm sorry Blythe, I love you but this kingdom won't stop, not even for you" Elena said softly to the child, sounding sad as her eyebrows created in regret. "You'd better take him, I have to go..." She said to Henry, feeling a bit miserable if she was honest.


Katrina cleaned up and went to the hall in search of something to eat. She sat down, picking at grapes.
