I meander back to my room, stary eyed with possibilities.

I walk into sixth period, opera. I sit down and class starts immediately. The teacher says that he will choose a few people to sing a song. He chose me first. I sighed and sand something from a song that we sang in middle school in my opera class. After I was done I sat back down in my seat during the applause.

Wow your amazing! I say while applauding as Kayla sits down. The teacher scans the room and picks me. Great. I think. Ill sound like nothing compared to Kayla! I walk up and think. Why should I sing? Then It hits me. I sing a song that I learned back in Nebraska where I came from. I think it's a good song, and good for my low alto voice. When I'm done i return to my seat next to Kayla.
