After a few minutes I stood up and went down to the kitchen, taking the tray of brownies my mom was just coming upstairs with. I thanked her and then went to Becca's room, knocking softly. "Hey, mind if I come in? I have brownies."

"Sure!" I said, frowning a what I had written. It sounded nothing like a fairy tale, not even close. It had too many facts... I crumpled the paper, and took another one from the stack in my bedside table.

"You look like you're getting settled in," I commented, placing the tray of brownies on the bed next to her and standing there awkwardly.

I put my pen down and look up at him. I pat the bed for him to sit, and smile, taking a brownie. "So tell me.." I say, trying to start conversation. "Where is your dog?"

"She's probably downsta-" I started, sitting down, when a furry yellow dog came bounding in the room, jumping up on the bed and sniffing Becca excitedly. "No, Tia, down! Not on the bed!"

I laughed and gave her a small pat. "Let her be," I said laughing. "She just wants to get to know me."

I smiled. "All right." Tia tilted her head up and licked Becca on the cheek.

I smiled, and started petting Tia. "So, we have to solve the 'our own place' problem."

"Oh, right. I can go get my laptop really quick and see if I can search for anything good," I said, standing up and walking quickly to my room. I picked up the slim silver laptop and walked back into the room, sitting back down and opening it up. "Would you rather try to get a house or apartment?"

"Well, an apartment would be cheaper, but I'm guessing that if we're taking Tia with us a house will be a better choice." I said, looking at the her.
