:: Kae Noelle Stewart ::
- Kae rubbed her thumbs together as she stared at herself harshly in the mirror. As always she would discourage flaws she'd find; maybe how a few pieces of hair weren't in the correct spot or a wrinkle in her dress. Taking a peek at the time she muttered under her breath, knowing she'd have to get going or she'd be late.. And that wouldn't shed a great light on her morals. She picked up a coat if it was chilly outside, and walked out the door into the soft sunlight. A nice breeze blew the branches of trees around, making dry leaves fall to the ground. She locked the door behind her and hastily walked down the main road to where the event was held, butterflies crowding her stomach and her heart thudded in her throat. She hoped to god she wouldn't have to announce a speech or a few words, for she'd most likely stutter and her accent wouldn't help with that. She felt like she was growing pale the closer to came up to the large auditorium, and the gathering of people didn't cease the feeling. She stood in line to get inside as people shifted glances towards her, as she did as well. She couldn't imagine the men in line who had the chance of being her fiancee, she felt she wasn't ready for this huge change in her life...But why would anyone care? It was the new way of life, the new system to improve our lives. Her eyebrows creased together as she took a seat on the left, where the girls would sit; and the right where the guys would sit. The back few rows would be for parents who eagerly waited for their children to be called forward.
:: Xaiver Darren Grant ::
- Xaiver gave a final pat on his back pockets to ensure his wallet, phone and keys were there; just in case. He walked out the door, slamming it behind him without giving a thought to being scolded by his parents later. All that was on his mind was the ceremony, one he wasn't ready for. He remembered being a small child, his innocent mind would trick himself into being eager for this day, but as time grew on all opinions change. He dreaded it over anything, he didn't care about being assigned a girl he barely knew, who was the person he'd spend the rest of his life with. A large sigh escaped his lips as he shook his head, walking into line. The line moved fast, faster than he wanted. He wished the line stood frozen, maybe even time could be frozen so he'd have time to think.. h*ll; maybe a time machine so he could make changes and make sure this rule was never thought of. Or even go back in time and make his parents move elsewhere, anywhere other than here. He snapped out of the fantasy, realizing he was holding up the group of people behind him. He sheepishly walked into the building, taking his own seat on the right, staring up at the large ceiling with many lights strung around. His head fell back, whispering to himself about everything, wishing to himself and overall; hoping he'd at least get a friendly partner.

Christopher smiled softly at the faces of the nervous teenagers as they piled in. He tapped the microphone with his finger to gain the attention of everyone after the doorways were cleared of people. He gave a large grin as he spoke into the mic. "Welcome everyone, I'm glad to see everyone was able to make it. As you know, this is the Pairing Ceremony; to all of you new folks, it's where teenagers from the ages 16-19 gain a partner to take on life together; and when the younger of the pair reaches age 24, marriage. Let me remind you all the rules of having a pair. No affection, what so ever may be shown. You may not be unfaithful to your Fiancee, you two will always be together until death or sickness. In that case, you will be appointed a different Fiancee. You may not teach others or try to learn about love. Children come after marriage, and you must sign up for a child at the adoption agency. At no time, shall there be any form of affection or sexual activity between the pair. Understood?" He glanced around the room, some nods were given but most of the people were unresponsive. "Now that we have that covered, I will begin to announce pairs. Once your name has been called, you will stand next to your Fiancee and stand on the stage. Trent Raymond will point where you will stand.. Ok?" He pulled a pair of reading glasses out of his pocket, unfolding them and pushing them back onto the bridge of his nose. "Ok. We have twenty-four gentlemen and women being paired today, creating twelve pairs. The first pair, Rebecca Costello Lewis and Jacob Isaac Xennel. Next, Savnnah Camille Harper and Logan Ty Leven. Alice Parker and Xaiver Darren Grant. Lennon Maisie Smith and Grayson Morgan. Kae Noelle Stewart and Caspar Blake Kasidy. Cassandra Anne Leroy and Benjamin Nero Campbell. Angelica Mary and Dylan Moone Zhay. January Elizabeth Joyus and Jason.." He paused, allowing the people called up so far to get into the correct areas and get situated. "Ronnie Zae Vizencio and Daniel Colon Odair, Kailey Andrea Gale and Daniel Jace Spider, Danielle Montgomery and Ethan Mitchell Jones, and last but certainly not least, Airesmee Izabelle Winter and Alexander Duchannes. Congratulations. Everyone please stand beside your pair and wait for the group picture, we will dismiss you. Please remember that you will move in to a home together by tomorrow at the latest, and start your lives together. Again, congratulations." Christopher gleamed as he stepped aside; photographers ready to take the group picture.
