Aaron looks at her "so, why haven't I seen you around?" he asks eventually

"I came here only a few days ago" Nyx replied

Nyx sighed "they didn't like magic. My family had to hide the fact that we had magic. I would go in the woods and practice my magic. I thought no one would find me, but they did. I was sentenced to death along with my family. I used my powers to get away from them and back to my family. I told them what happened. I told them to run away but they refused' Nyx said. "They're probably dead by now" she whispered. She choked back tears
