XXXXXXXXit's the summer of 2013
XXXXXXXXwнαт αre yoυ ɢoιɴɢ тo do?

Congratulations! You just graduated from your senior year of high school! You get that wonderful feeling in the morning when you wake up and realize that you have no where to go. The next couple months are whatever you want! But there's the problem. What is whatever you want? You can't think of a single thing to do; your mind seems to have completely blanked. Your best friend is out of town, you've started living in your own condo, so time with parents is not exactly an option. So until you find something to do, your stuck. That is, until one wonderful Monday morning. You had woken late, and still in your pj's, you headed downstairs for a cup of coffee. Once you had the mug in your hand, you settled down at the small kitchen table, opening up your laptop. While browsing the internet, you come across an add that catches your attention. 'Help wanted! 6 volunteers needed to raise young animals for the summer!' 'This can't be real,' you think to yourself, but you click on the add anyways.
A few paragraphs of information pop up in front of you. You read every single word of it slowly, then went back and re-read it. This was a miracle! Basically, in the past five or six months, 6 baby animals have been born at the San Diego Zoo, a young zebra foal, panda cub, a young lemur, jaguar cub, giraffe foal and a baby otter. Since they are only a couple months old, they need foster homes within the area, until they are old enough to be put within the animal habitats. Once it's all been read, you send in a resume, and wait for a reply. And you get one. A few days later, you get an e-mail, saying you have been offered an interview on Wednesday, so you go. There, you are introduced to the animals, and go over a few questions, why so you think you would be good for the job, etc. The next day a home inspection is conducted, and they tell you to be expecting a reply within two day's time. So you wait, and that's exactly what happens! Two days later, you receive another e-mail, telling you you have the job. They want you to come out as soon as possible to meet your new animal companion.
So you're out at the zoo again. You are given all the animal's needs; parts of their habitat, a supply of formula, the schedule for coming into the zoo, and basic information on the animal. Once you received it all, you are given 5 days to have it set up; they each require an indoor and outdoor enclosure. So that's what you do. Once done, one more house inspection is done, and you are scheduled to come meet the other volunteers the next Friday, along with the head zookeepers. Then the rest of your summer will begin.
||Alright, I've seen a few roleplays like this one, so I decided to make my own c: There are currently 0 girl spots open and 2 guy spots and the baby lemur, panda cub and baby otter are reserved, so if you would like to reserve, please pm me, with a writing example! I will be expecting 1-2 paragraphs per post, minimum c:||

these are the rules
XXтнey αre ɴoт мeαɴт тo вe вroĸeɴ

one:: Tess's rules. Okay, this should be pretty obvious. All of Tess's rules apply. Okay, we don't want this roleplay being shut down right? If you need to look over them again, or maybe haven't seen them, click here.
two:: Literacy. This is anything at all to do with posting. I want this to be Semi-Literate. That means I want 1-2 paragraphs per post, or 10-15 sentences. And this does not count as a sentence: 'She smiled.' That is only two words. A good sentence would be like this: 'A warm smile grew across her face, a tiny bit of her white teeth showing.' Okay? I'm going to be very strict on this. If you are only posting 5-6 sentences every time, I will give you three warnings, and if you can't start posting more, I'm going to have to ask you to leave this role-play. I know it seems harsh, but I really don't want any one liners. At all. I understand writer's block, but it cannot be an excuse every single time you post, kay? Oh and I do notice that it can be kind of hard posting when you're just talking to another character, because there's not much to respond to, so then I'll only ask for 8-10 sentences, but more would be wonderful.
three:: Posting. Pretty posts are a must for me, unless you're of course on your ipod or phone. Then you don't have to post as much, and it doesn't have to be pretty. And pretty means colors and sizes, no pictures or fontmeme because it's against the rules.
four:: Forms. I do expect you to make your own form. Not one someone else made and you filed out with your own information, your own. Meaning you did the layout, the text, all that. Trust me, I will know if it's another form done by someone else.
five:: No Mary-Sues or Gary-Sues. A.k.a, no perfect characters. Each of the companions have flaws, just to make things more interesting, so your character can't go in there and have the animal immediately bond to them, and become an angel to be around, never running off, or fussing. No, that's not how it works. You will each be roleplaying your own companion, so make sure you make this realistic.
six:: Try to be active. I expect everyone to post once every 3 days, at that is the bare minimum. If you do not, and have not told me why you cannot post, i.e. vacation, family matters, school, whatever it is, you will recieve a pm asking to post. If you still don't after one week I will open up your spot for others.

name and meaning::The young otters name is Vita, pronounced Vee-tuh. It means life in Italian. The keepsers thought the name would suit her thanks to her constant, and random activity. She was exactly that; full of life.gender:: She is a femalepersonality:: Vita is very hyper and random, constantly moving around and doing different things. She doesn't seem to stop! Whether its running around or swimming, she's probably doing something. But when it comes down to it, Vita is a small and sensitive animal, and can get upset after being separated from her 'mother' figure.foster parent:: Ava Marie Patterson;; paper. c r a n e s
name and meaning::Her name is Repéré, pronounced re-pare-ay. It is of french origin and it means 'Spotted', though most just call her Spot, since that's what her name means. This is quite obvious since she is a jaguar.gender:: She is a femalepersonality:: Basically, Spot is the teenage girl out of all the companions. She is very, well sassy. She'll only eat when she wants to, and if that doesn't happen, she will yowl, quite loudly. Also, she is quite stubborn. Whatever you do, she ends up finding a way to do the exact opposite. But none the less, she has her moments and loves to jest be near her 'mother' figure, and is known to curl up and sleep on one's lap.foster parent:: Open;; Open
name and meaning::---gender::---personality:: ---foster parent:: Reserved;; Tick.Tock
name and meaning::HIs name is Marron, the french word for chocolate brown. He was given the name because his stripes have a chocolate brown hue to them, and they are not completely black. It is pronounced M-air-ongender::He is a malepersonality:: Marron is a goofball. He is quite funny, though he doesn't know it. He can get distracted easily, and will wander around, the smallest things fascinating him. This means it can be a bit hard for him to focus. Also, he is known to be a bit lazy, and loves to lounge around in the shade. And he is a huge sucker for food.foster parent:: Open;; Open
