Poppy is shy when you first meet her but once you get her to talk you'll never be able to shut her up.She is usually a very bubbly person, she loves to smile and laugh although you may catch her at moments where she is the opposite of her regular personality, almost as if she were a different person. At these times Poppy's wall has fallen momentary and you just happen to see her/talk to her before she has time to put it back up. By this I mean that Poppy's happiness isn't always genuine, when she fells sad or hurt or lonely she just smiles and acts like everything is okay because she doesn't want to appear vulnerable. When she does this though she does become happy at the moment but she just pushes to the back of her mind. She usually does this until she can't contain it anymore and just has massive mood swings for a while.

Poppy's mother fell in love with a man eleven years older then her at age 19 (he was 30) and they ran away together to get married. Poppy was born six months after their marriage and had a lovely childhood until she was about nine. At that point her father started to compulsively gamble and, because he lost so much money gambling, he started to drink as well. After about a year on his rapid decline her father began to both physically and emotionally abuse Poppy and her mother. The abuse got worse and worse until Poppy was thirteen and her father pushed her mother down the stair during one of their fights. Her mother cracked her skull on the wood floor at the bottom and became unconscious, she died the next day in the hospital. Her father was never prosecuted because at the top of the stairs there were several things that her father claimed that his wife tripped on and fell down the stairs during a fight they were having. Poppy ran away on her fourteenth birthday. This is just an overview, the details will be rped out.
