It’s the fifteenth of August and you’re coming back for your fourth year at Dorwich High School. After this it’s only two more years until you graduate, although the majority of people will be leaving after this year because...well because they finally can. You can’t wait to get rid of all of the idiots, unless you are one of the idiots, but you still have the next year to stick with them. So, this is it; S4. At the end of this year you’ll be getting your first exams and you’re nervous as hell, or not depending on what subjects you’ve actually taken. Despite worrying about all this exam malarkey you’ve somehow still got enough time to worry about whether you’re wearing the right clothes, whether or not you’ll look like a nerd if you answer a question in class or if people think you’re straight/gay/a lesbian because you don’t have a boyfriend/girlfriend yet. Christ, there’s not end to your worries is there?
At least it’s only another eleven months until your next summer holiday.

Basically, this is a high school roleplay set in Edinburgh, Scotland on a non-existent street called Dorwich. Well, it might be a street/town somewhere else but for now I’m making it up. If you’re not from Scotland/Britain then you probably aren’t aware of how the school works. You start high school when you’re twelve and you start off as an S1/First Year. You can leave school any time after S4/Fourth year, you don’t even have to complete S5 you can just come in for a month or two then leave. Or maybe that’s just my school, who knows.
Anyway, you can play one of five people just starting S4. Everyone is fifteen if your character was born before the fifteenth of August 1997. Anyone born after that will still be fourteen. I am planning on putting a lot of effort into this thread. If I don’t then I got bored and distracted by something shiny and just decided to post this.

Roleplay Rules and Guidelines

Roleplay Rules
- No Godmodding or Powerplaying. Look it up if you don’t know what it is.
- Write at least three lines. And it has to move the plot forward, not just three lines of your character wondering what he/she will have for lunch.
- Proper grammar, punctuation and spelling. Also, please utilize the space bar, it’s there for a reason.
- Don’t make your character win every fight and get top marks in every test or your character will be expelled for jumping off of a roof and somehow living.
- This is a British school, more specifically Scottish. We have no ‘malls’ we have two shopping centres. We don’t have Hot Topic, or any ‘gothic’ kind of shop as far as I know of. There is no ‘soccer’ we have football. Baseball is called Rounders and isn’t a real sport here. Also it’s ‘Mum’ not ‘Mom’. Sorry if I offend anyone but I just want a purely British-sounding RP. I get really confused when people are talking about football and I think it’s the European/everywhere except the USA kind of football.
- If swearing star out one of the vowels. Personally I have no problem with swearing and do it constantly in real life but for the sake of the children star out some of it.
- RP to the personality you set your character. If your character’s shy she won’t be out there playing football with the guys and if your character’s a bully he won’t be helping someone get their tie down from a tree.

Character Guidelines
- No. Perfect. Characters. Seriously, I hate these ‘beautiful’ characters who are ‘OH MER GERD SER INNOCENT CUZ SHE’Z NEVAH HAD A BF’ but then are whoring themselves around as soon as a male character is made.
- Reasonable pictures please. That means; no cartoons, no drawings, no 30-something actors/actresses.
- Unique characters please. And no, I don’t mean the ‘sarcastic tomboy’ character since that isn’t unique. Think about it; the majority of people’s characters are based off of themselves and almost everyone has a sarcastic tomboy character. It’s not unique. It’s just as unique as a bully. Except a bully is more fun in an RP. Make a bully. Make a b*tch. Please. I’ll only accept you if the kind of character you’re playing is one I don’t see often. Perhaps a sleazy back-alley kid who has a ton of older gang-member friends or a spoilt character who actually acts spoilt throughout the RP and doesn’t suddenly change and become everyone’s best friend.
- Let’s be honest; your character pretty much has to be Scottish. I will allow one non-Scottish character whether that be English, Welsh, Irish, French, Canadian whatever. Every other character has to be Scottish or has to have been living in Scotland for the past six years minimum.
