Don't Judge Me

"I swear to you, that will be the last time I make you do something that I could have done myself." he chuckled gently and picked up his fork. Spinning it around and around to collect all the noodles. "I didnt know what you like on yours. You can have it plain or with either sauces. I like mine mixed with alfrado and Ragu." he commented not sure why he told him that. "So, what did you do while I was gone? Im curious to know." He spoke with a much more gentle voice than usual.

Jayden smiled, turning his eyes from the cat back to Terrance when he heard him talk. He listened happily until Terrance finished talking. "Plain is fine... I don't think I've had spaghetti in a very long time, if at all," he admitted with a shrug. "What'd I do? Nothing really," he began, looking down at the food, poking at it with the fork. "School was a pain. Video games, walking, video games, chatting, video games... window shopping... Literally window shopping. I was playing toss with Luke when the ball went through the window..." he trailed off with a short laugh, turning his eyes back to the boy. "I haven't got a very good aim when it comes to throwing. Hmm, how about you? The details?"

Terrance smiled sticking the fork into his mouth. "Hm.. Not much. I thought we already had this conversation? What do you want to do tonight? How about I go out and rent us a movie... I have to go out anyways." he smiled tilting his head to the side as Jayden did. He sighed softly and thought of what else to say. "Mm, did you remember coffee? Oh, and Jayden..." he paused a moment and thought of his next words. "... uh," He shut his mouth and smiled at him instead.

Jayden blinked, lowering his gaze back to the food. "Yeah, but you asked me before, too," he shrugged with a smile, shoving his foot to the side to push the cat away. "Hmm? Where do you have to go?" he asked curiously and continued to stare at the boy, every once in a while he'd take a small bite of the food. "What? Finish your sentences," he reminded him with a frown. "I don't like that. What were you going to say?"

"My, arent you a curious one." Terrance laughed. "I was just going to ask how the food was." He laughed. He stood up and kissed the boy's cheek gently. "Let me ask you a question." He smiled brightly to him. "Do you really want me to be honest with you? Do you really want to know all my problems and all my worries? All my thoughts and all my joys? Are you truly that curious when I keep silent?" He smiled to him and pulled his chair around to sit next to him. "Because... that is the way I feel when I watch you. When I see you smile at your friends I want to know why. I want to know all that I can about your life. I want to make up for all the lost time. All the time I had been away from you." He chuckled. "Because I love you. " He smiled and put another bite into his mouth.

Jayden shrugged. I guess I am, he thought to himself. "Oh, well it's fine," he told him with a smile, watching Terrance as he stood up. "Hmm?" Watching past Terrance, he listened to him speak, letting the words set in his mind. He blinked, looking at Terrance when the boy moved his chair. "Well I guess not... Yeah, I guess I am that curious. I suppose I don't want to know everything, just what you want, or what you think. Like with the movie, or the gaming. You just agreed with whatever.." He shrugged, adding a soft grin. "If you want to know you could always ask. Just there's nothing really I could say about my life, but I'm sure questions are easier to answer than just telling someone about it." He smiled looking back down to the food to take another bite, letting his arms rest on the table.

"Well... the next time you ask me something. I will answer honestly....probably." He sighed finishing his food quickly but leaving a lot on his plate. He stood up to start the dishes. Ah, I think I finally realize what this feeling is. He thought to himself as he put the rest of the food in Luke's bowl and then proceeded to clean up his mess. He was smiling but he couldnt understand why. The feeling and the expression totally didnt match. It was so hard to know.. because It's confusion. Jayden.... Im so confused. I feel regrett and worry, sadness, and heartache but when I see you beside me.... it feels unreal. Maybe, because I came back and we just picked up where we left off. He let out a sigh as his fingers began to wrinkle in the water and bubbles forming all around him. Why didnt you chew me out, get angry, give me something to let me know I was important and you missed me? I should have called or wrote... or something. My fault, it was all my fault and now we both act like it never happened. But it did! I feel so wrong hiding from you. But I feel you wouldnt want to know or you shouldnt know... I've already lost you but if you find out that I am hiding a fugitive, what would you say? How would you react? What am I doing?

"Alright. I'll remember that," Jayden smiled as he spoke, watching Terrance as the boy cleaned up, tho he himself was still sitting in his chair, trying to finish the food. He sighed, feeling satiated. I'm not used to eating so much, he thought with a tilt of his head, glaring at the food in abhorrence. He shook his head, returning his eyes on Terrance. "Hmm, Terrance? Did you really sleep while I was gone? You didn't look as if you slept. You looked like a different kind of exhausted..." he asked quietly as he stood up with the dish, still having food on it. He sat it on the counter, his hands on the edge of the counter to lean on it as he stood back, looking up at Terrance. "You don't have to do that," he proclaimed with a smile as he moved his gaze to the sink.

Terrance pulled away from his thoughts for the moment. Jumping slightly as he heard Jayden's voice beside him. He tilted his head to the side to lean it on his shoulder but continued to stare at the bubbles in the sink. "No. I didnt sleep. I wanted to but I didnt." He laughed turning his gaze forcefully up to look at Jayden. "And, its okay... somebody has to do it, and since I made the mess I have to clean it up."

Jayden stayed silent as he blankly stared up at Terrance with a smile as he watched him, still standing a couple feet from the counter but leaning forward so his hands rested on the edge. Oh, no? "Really?" he asked as he turned around so his back was facing the counter, leaning against it with his hands in his pockets. "Oh, I guessed you hadn't," he shrugged but kept his smile on his face as he turned his head to look at Terrance. What'd you do? Did you go somewhere? You looked as though you went for a run. He shook his head as if telling himself to be quiet. "Hey, don't you have to make some phone calls?"
