Sitting alone at a park bench, a slender, lonesome figure fingered afew chords smoothly, humming along to the soft music that played along with the chorus of birds overhead. *
Ah, birds. Ones that sing, rather than coo out of tune.* The young girl thought to herself, closing her eyes to imagine she was playing her ballad of the western Bonnie-and-Clyde to her oh-so adoring fans. ...and of course the homeless veteran she normally shared her lunch with. She'd never quite understand how he chose to be homeless... Alex played on, her mind on the story of the two lovers running from the law that went along with the song. She wanted to sing, but she didn't know how it would be taken here in this local park, rather than Central Park. Her mind soon drifted back to her home, going over a checklist as she did numerous times a day to see that she hadn't left anything out of her routine, though she'd done the exact same thing every morning down to the number of steps she took.
