I looked at him. "There will always be someone at home who cares about you." I said. "You have no idea the kind of careers I had to see everyday, even on weekends. They support the Capitol and these terrible games." I looked down at my feet. "The looks they have in their eyes..." I trailed. I wasn't regretting my training, because I needed to survive this, but that doesn't mean I didn't secretly think these games were terrible.

I sighed and shook my head. "No, no one at home loves me and I know that as a fact." I murmured quietly. "And I know how you feel, I live with it too."

At first I wondered why he said he saw them - the crazy careers - all the time too, then realized that he was from 4. I shrugged. My cold mode was coming on, my wall building back up again. I'd always had to do that back home, and now a days it was rare when it came down. I just stood there. I heard the train horn sound and realized we had to be loaded on. "See you at the opening ceremony." I said, since each district has a separate car.

District 5

I heard the train horn, but didn't really want to get back on. It was nice just talking with Turquoise. It gave me something to do besides fry my brain. "I'll see you soon." I said, standing up.

I heard the train and turned my head before sighing. The breeze blew my blond hair back and I enjoyed it while it lasted. I wasn't exactly paying attention while walking back and accidentally bumped into someone (Jess?). "Sorry." I said softly, not looking up.

I nodded back at her and slowly made my train, not so earger to get on the thing getting my closer to my death.

District 5

"My bad." I said with shrug. I sighed as the peacekeepers loaded the rest of us on. I went to the District 5 car and saw the girl from my district, Brook, laughing with my capitol representative. "Oh, Jess, your here!" The rep. said, sickly happy. Oh my. "Here I am." I flung myself on the couch, away from where they were sitting, and lifted my earphones to my ears. I just laid there with my music.

When I was back on the train, I was glad that the conversation was over. I didn't like having to explain myself, as if I was back at school on my first day or a court hearing of something. I sat at the table, though it was empty. I saw Cache walk out of his room shirtless, and realized he stayed in there the whole time. I rolled my eyes when I saw his sagged pants.

I looked up at the boy then went to district 12 cart and took a bottle of water, my throat was dry from nervousness. I really didn't know what I was going to do about this.

I sighed softly and sat down on the couch and closed my eyes softly. So tired. (WB)

Me, Cache, and my mentor finished talking and having our snack with him saying we would be arriving in the capitol soon. Then the parade. Then the interviews. Then the games. I almost shuddered, but then tried to remember my chances.

District 5

I sat in my room when the other tribute from my district, Brooke, knocked and asked to come in. I didn't know if it was against the rules, but I told her she could anyway. I saw her open the door and took out the headphones from my ear. She sat on the end of my bed and started crying. I didn't really know her so I didn't put my arms around her. She apologized and said she just needed someone to vent to, then left. I kinda felt bad for her, but I kind of felt the same sadness.

I sighed and pulled my knees to my chest, looking out the window at the crowds of people screaming and cheering. I looked down at the ground and closed my eyes.

I stared out my window, looking at all the people. I waved to some of them in hopes of parachutes, but that was a long shot for me.
