"Christ, Wifi!" Alex groaned through clenched teeth at her cranky sugar glider, of whom was trying to burrow into her neck while letting out low drawn out chirps to inform his owner he was hungry. This had gone on for an hour, and Alex wasn't putting up with it any longer. Thankfully, they were in a wooded area, so a stop wasn't completely out of the question, yet still. They were back down to three bottles of water, and a package and a half of beef jerky, so she wanted to put off eating for as long as she could, though she'd slipped her pets a peice every now and then that day despite her own rules, just to keep them quiet. But now, it was time she'd eaten something as well. She broke away from the road, maneuvering trees and bushes in attempts to hide her car. Once she was content she was far enough away from the road, she cut off the engine, feeling relieved as the hum of the engine ceased. She set the sugar glider on the dashboard with a piece of beef jerky before feeding afew to the elderly chocolate lab, standing gaurd in the passenger seat. She paused a moment before taking a bite herself. The only thing that kept her eating the same thing was hunger, as she hadn't dare get out of the car until she was content it was hidden. Despite her actions, something told her she wouldnt have the car much longer anyway. She gave her pets some water before packing the previsions into a backpack along with a few boxes of ammo. Thank god her uncle was insane. She then slid her fingers up the sides of her calves, counting her throwing knives. She didn't have much protection, but she wanted to make sure what she did have was accounted for. She tucked her sugar glider into an inside pocket of her leather jacket and got out, The chocolate lab following closely behind. She quickly disconnected the battery and loaded in into her pack. It was a pain, but it just might mean a ride later on. She then walked to the front of the car and opened the trunk to retrieve her clothes. Then, she was off - traveling into the unknown and hoping for the best.
