"Yeah, i understand. I get scared when Xanther gets this way too..." Peyton sentence slowly faded as she looked down at the soft grass. Soon she heard someone run over and fall next to Ryan. It was Sebastian, Peyton smiled as he hugged Ryan, and asked him if he was okay. The way Sebastian took care of Ryan just made Peyton want to melt. Sometimes Xanther was like that towards Peyton, and it made her just light up and feel wanted. But as of now she just felt alone and scared.
Anyway, Peyton looked at Sebastian as he asked if she was okay too. "Oh yeah, im fine.. Dont worry about me. Im perfectly o-okay.." she said her bottom lip trembling as she said that. She plastered a fake smile on her face, Trying to give the boys the impression that she was okay. But in reality, tears stung the back of her eyes, and her smile seemed broken.. She blinked back tears and looked away.. Wipe your tears darling, you're better than this.. she thought to herself as she put her head in her hands.

Sebastian smirked as Peyton replied with a sort of good reply but the look on his face gave some sort of clue that he didn't fully believe Peyton, though, he did believe most of her response. "Hey, are you sure?" he asked in a soft voice, sitting down next to her and gently putting a hand on her back, rubbing it slowly and gently. "You look...upset. I'm so sorry about Xanther...I can get frustrated too...I'm used to it though. It happens so unexpectedly, yet sometimes, you can tell it's going to happen. Just by the look in his eyes. I'm sure you haven't recognized that full look yet, but I have once...when I was younger..."
Sebastian gave her a small smile and his hand stopped rubbing her back, watching her carefully, leading him to a stare before he shook his head and moved on. "Um, I'll go check on Xanther..." He slowly stood and walked over to Ryan, bending down and ruffling his hair. "It's okay Ryan. I'll be back, 'kay?"
Ryan sat motionless without a response.
Sebastian sighed and smirked, quietly but quickly walking back into Xan's house.

"Oh, yeah, yeah im fine i just.. i think somethings in my eyes.. Or allergies. I dont know.. But im fine." she said making up excuses. She took in a deep breath and looked back up. She listened carefully to what Sebastian had to say about Xanthers look in his eyes, and how that can predict some of his moods. She nodded at him, letting him know that she under-stood. She then listened as he said he was going to check on Xan. "Oh okay, um ill see you later then." she said with a smile "Oh but before you go.." she continued "Thanks..For everything. It,uh,means alot." she said. She watched him walk over to Ryan and mutter something before moving on and walking back into the house.
Peyton sat there quietly, looking down, and messing with the grass. After a moment of silence Peyton spoke up "So then there were two." she said looking over at Ryan.

Ryan quietly remained leaning against the tree and slowly lifted his head, his eyes tracing up to Peyton's face. His eyes were red and his cheeks had small, wet lines of tears with more tears slipping down. "Hm?" he asked in a small, whispery voice.

Peyton's small smile she had on her face quickly disappeared as she saw Ryan's face. It was red, and wet with tears, his eyes were bloodshot, and over-all he seemed in distress. "Oh my gosh.." Peyton gasped as she quickly got up and moved next to Ryan, "r-Ryan... What's wrong?" She asked in a worried tone voice. She had a feeling that Ryan would be shy and reluctant to tell her, so she tried to make the atmosphere feel friendly and well-- safe.{? Poor choice of wording on my part..}"it's okay, you can trust me.." She said as she gently rubbed his back up and down.

Ryan gave a small whimper as Peyton sat down next to him, hugging his knees tighter. But as Peyton rubbed his back, he calmed down a bit and hiccuped, giving a small jump. He only cried without a reply, and quietly cried, his fists rubbing his eyes, trying to wipe his tears away with the back of his hand.

Peyton continued to rub Ryan's back gently, allowing him to calm down and cool off. She slightly understood what Ryan was feeling at the moment. He didn't want to talk, he just wanted to cry it out and think things through. And Peyton did a lot of crying, and a whole lot of thinking, so she had an idea of what it was like. "Shhh, it's okay.. Everything will be okay. I promise" she said quietly in a motherly tone

Ryan quietly cried for a long moment, gently leaning against Peyton as he cried, suddenly managing to gain some trust with her. He hesitated before slowly turning his body towards her and curling up against her, resting his head on her chest and tucking his arms against himself.

Peyton smiled to herself as Ryan began to gain more trust in her. She slowly wrapped her arms around him and smoothed down the back of his hair. "Its okay, Ryan. Just let it all ouy.. Ill be here." she said quietly.

Ryan sniffed, his tears seeping through her shirt, leaving a spot made of his tears. He quietly started to calm down and his tears soon lasted and stopped. His hands were clutching Peyton's shirt as he lay curled up against her like a young kid, but he was one, right?
He wiped some tears that were running down his cheeks and slowly pulled away from Peyton after her comfort, blushing slightly as he saw the tear-spot on her shirt and thought over how he cried on her. "I-I'm sorry...." he whispered in a barely audible voice.
