Chey sighed when she finished Blaith's next text. "I don't know. I should give her to the pound, but she's so weak and skinny I'm afraid no one will adopt her or they will put her to sleep."

Blaith maneuvered her phone out of her pocket at the vibration. She studied the number for a moment, then realized it was Chey. She hit RECEIVE. She immediately broke into a silly grin at the picture of the puppy, sending back, "Oh how cute! Is it a he or a she? Where'd you find it?"
