Alex Slid down the sidewalk on her Skateboard, her shirt flapping in the wind. She jumped off, and picked it up. She walked into the school, a tad late. Well, Accedently missed her First class. Alex walked to her new dorm, and noticed the girl she was sharing with already moved in. Alex quietly unpacked her things for the next year, and she was hoping she could shop. The seventeen year old grabbed her bag, and walked down the hallway, slowly singing a song she had randomly made up as she walked. She ran into a locker, and saw white. She sat down, rubbing her head, and sittting there for about an hour. she had fallen asleep, her head where she hit purple. Her paper's were everywhere, and scuffled about.

Jc listened to "Heters follow me like twitter," and he slowly rapped along, Hoping to Spot Jace and Adrian somewhere. His head flipped to the side as he flipped his hair, and he made his way to his dorm. (W.B). Jc grinned as he got the bed near the window, and he unpacked, and sat on the bed, just listening to music. He had three classes he could cut, so he would use one right now as he got ready for the day. He wasn't used to his birthome and he needed to adjust, but he got up and showered. After a while, he changed and walked down the stairs onto the floor where the music and art rooms were. He was hoping to look for his sister and the guitar room.

A e r i e

I have died every day waiting for you, darling don't be afraid I adore you

{Talking to Rayne

It had been a long first day. A really long first day. Aerie finally slipped the over-stuffed backpack off of her shoulder and collapsed down, unzipping the backpack as she went and pulling out a book. It was a battered, worn copy of Paper Towns that she'd picked up, but it would have to do for now. After all, it was a book. All books were nice, particularly when they were free, and library books were free. It was too gorgeous a day to retreat to the dorms, so she curled up right outside, on a soft patch of grass on the lawn, her back against a tree, and cracked it open. A bit of sand fell out onto her lap -- somebody had taken a library book to the beach, maybe? It was always nice to read on the beach. Still, Aerie lowered her head and trained her practiced eye on the first word. Now, if she could just disappear into the world of books... but then was drawn out of it by the sound of a pencil scratching. Putting her book down, Aerie glanced around the oak. "Oh... hi..."

{Talking to Harper Cohen

It had been a... fun first day. Uneventful, but not stiflingly boring. Bella just wished it hadn't been all of the orientation stuff and that she'd actually gotten to touch a pencil. It had only lasted until one, anyway, not that that was going to be usual in an intense school or that Bella expected it to be. It was just nice for one day. She was released now, though, and started to wander down the street, spotting a girl with a ciggy dangling from between her lips. Plopping next to the girl -- ew, a green beanie with a black hoodie, she looked like a kid from halloweentown, everybody knew beanies looked best in gray -- Bella splayed her long, pale legs out in the asphalt in front of her. "Care to share?" She asked lazily, leaning back and propping herself up on her elbows. She didn't smoke, but she was prone to holding one or popping it between her lips and not lighting up. It gave the illusion of cool without really hurting your lungs, although second-hand smoke wasn't too great for you either.

Releasing a lungful of smoke from between her lips, Harper watched as it swirled through the air in front of her face. Without taking another hit from the cigarette, her attention shifted as someone sat beside her -- probably to bum a cigarette. Reluctantly, she removed one of her headphones only to have her suspicions confirmed at the girls' words. "Whatever." she breathed, retrieving a partially-crushed pack of cigarettes from the front pocket of her jeans. Flipping the lid, she held the pack toward the girl. "You need a light?" she raised an eyebrow as her forefinger and thumb fished around her other pocket for a lighter. Holding both items in each of her hands, she took a moment to look over the girl. She didn't look like much of a smoker, but appearance wasn't the most accurate thing to be making judgements off of.

The slender ginger liked to maintain her figure without destroying her lungs, thanks. Snatching the cigarette out of the other girl's hands, Bella shook her head. Along with keeping her figure, she'd rather not smell nasty, so she'd doubted she'd ever hang around this girl when she was smoking again. Except maybe not parties. Smelling like smoke at the end of a party was pretty acceptable. That wasn't to say they'd never see each other -- they might. It just wouldn't be while she was smoking. "Nope," she admitted. "Just making conversation." Please, how hostile could this girl really be? It wasn't like she had any friends yet either. "So what's your major?" Bella asked, waving the unlit cigarette in her direction. She couldn't remember if this girl had been in her arts classes -- it was all dreadfully confusing, to keep everyone straight. She might not even be in her grade.

Harper gave a slight nod, already growing slightly annoyed with the girl. Making conversation didn't mean wasting one of her cigarettes. And unless she was one of those strange individuals who used cigarettes as some sort of weird metaphor to symbolize death, but never actually smoked them, she was someone who used them to look cool. If there was one thing she hated it was when people worried themselves over looking "cool" or fitting in. "I'm studying music." she gave a soft nod; flicking the remaining butt of her cigarette onto the pavement. "What about you?" she inquired, casting another quick glance toward the girl. "The effects of wasting a smoker's cigarettes?" she mused in a playful, but obviously annoyed manner. "Because I can tell you right now it's not going to be a good one." her lips pulled up in the beginnings of a smile. She knew she was being a b*tch, but was in no mood to do anything in the way of correcting it. On the off-chance that they had a class together, she knew the odds of actually interacting with this girl again were slim.

Cigarettes were a metaphor for death, for some individuals, probably because they caused death. But for Bella, they weren't a metaphor for anything. They caused lung cancer and smelled nasty and were expensive. Bella had read The Fault in Our Stars, thanks. Lung cancer sounded positively sh*tty to have. They weren't to look cool, for her either -- she just wanted to make a friend. But obviously they were to look cool for this girl, or else she never would have picked up the habit. Of course, she could always pull the 'I don't use them to look cool, I use them cause I'm hipster and I'm addicted', but that wouldn't really work either. Why'd she get addicted? To look cool, duh. Hypocrites were annoying. "Art. I'm hoping to go into fashion design, though. This is partly to build my portfolio, really." Bella smiled at her joke. Obviously she was more fun than the pretty girl had taken her for. "No, but I'm sure you haven't studied the effects of smoking?" Bella raised a pale eyebrow. "'Cause if you have, well..." Bella shrugged. "Here, take the ciggy back then. It hasn't touched my lips, even."

- Sorry there smallish, on iPod. (: -

Adrain sighed happily when the classes were over, he quickly made his way out of the building. He pulled his backpack up higher on his shoulder, hoping none of his papers got wrinkled. As he exited the building he noticed a girl sitting under a tree drawing, an another in front of her reading. And then farther down the road were two girls smoking, Adrian wrinkled his nose; he hates smoking, talk about killing yourself slowly. Sighing Adrian decided to sit under a Maple tree, he grabbed his sketch pad and a pencil out of his bag. He looked around for some inspiration and found the two girls he saw earlier. Smiling he started drawing the Oak tree they were under, then started on the actual people. Not paying attention to anything around him.

Jace hummed along to the song playing on his iPod, he was currently sitting up against the school, lost in his own world. He was subconsciously tapping his fingers to the notes of the song; kinda making it look like he was playing the keyboard on his leg. When the song ended he pulled out his earphones and headed back inside, hoping to find the music room. He hasn't played in awhile and was hoping to get his hands on a piano.
Eventually he found the music room, and luckily it was currently empty. Smiling he made his way over to the piano that was in the corner of the room. He sat, facing away from the door and thought of a song to play. Eventually he settle on Evanescence My Immortal, the first song he actually memorized. He started the song, about halfway through he actually started singing it. He eventually lost himself in the music, ignoring the outside world.

Ember was quickly making her way out of the classroom, book in her hand. She never was one to just stop reading when she had to go somewhere, so with the book in her hand she made her way out of the building. She continued walking until she came to the side of the building. She say down, not really caring how dirty she was getting. Finally when she reached the end of the current story, she looked up. She noticed groups of a few people here and there. Two girls under a tree, a boy drawing, and two girls smoking. Shrugging she continued on with her Complete Works of Edgar Allen Poe, she's always been a fan of Poe. So when her mum sent her this book in the mail she was absolutely thrilled.

Harper gave a quick nod of her head, obviously somewhat impressed by what the red-haired girl had said. "Could you do me the favor of ignoring what I'm wearing? This was the only outfit I hadn't already packed away and while I'm all for the casual-bum look, I'm usually dressed at least a little bit nicer than this." she assured, toying with the lighter she had yet to return to her pocket. "I have, actually. Sixth grade health class has it's perks. I know that smoking leads to death... but how can you be sure that's not what I'm going for?" She looked right at the girl, shrugging off her offer. "Nah, keep it." she muttered as she pulled her legs close and sat criss-crossed upon the pavement.
