"Laughter is the best medicine."
JC chuckled as he heard her decline politely. Of course, he knew she probably hadn't but, like she knew, he wouldn't poke and prod or divert her from her course. He had met a person like her once and it's hard, if not impossible, to break someone of her ideals of being fat when they weren't. He wasn't sure what they were called or if it even was a condition but he never tried to question those type of women again. He smiled and nodded at her proposal of help. "Sure! Would you mind keeping an eye on and stirring the tomato soup?" he asked, nodding to the lightly bubbling tomato soup next to the pancakes. "Once you're done stirring it, could you also quickly ask how many pancakes everyone wants?" he asked kindly.
