Jackie shook her head. "No not really." She said, showing them the kitchen. "Cabinets, cabinets, more cabinets, a non working sink, non working oven and fridge. Theres a table and chairs over there." She said, pointing to an area that was dimly lit. "So this is the place to eat!" She said. "And if you come this way." She said walking over to a hallway entrance.

Now that this tour was actually happening, Griffin realized it would be quite usful to know how this place works. He silently committed each of Jackie's words to to memory.
Not caring much about how the house is actually laid out, Posie started spacing out and went back to eating her fruit. But she did like Jackie. And she was pretty. Maybe Griffin should date her. Then they'd be like, sisters.

Jackie led them to a small room. "Beware of what lurks behind this door." She said, silently opening it. Inside was a small battery operated lamp. She turned it on and the toilet and plunger was shown. "Ta da! For all your bathroom needs! If you make moose poops though, I would try going outside, the toilet doesn't like those kind of poops." She said, closing the door and turning off the light.

Posie giggled again at the word "poop". Come on, what six-year-old wouldn't find that funny?
"Is there a bedroom or something where we can be alone?" Griffin asked. "Me and Posie, I mean," he added quickly, his face flushing pink.

Jackie put her hand over her mouth to hold her laugh. "Yeah, let me take you there." She said through hints of laughter. She sighed and opened up a lonely room. "Theres only one bed and its pretty small but you should be ok." She said, still smiling. "If you need anything just call, but this is not a hotel so if you clog the toilet, you fix it. But I do like plunging so if you dont want to I will!" She said, leaving them and going in the kitchen.

Full from eating the fruit and tired from the long day, Posie collapsed on the bed and was asleep before Griffin managed to talk to her.
Likes unclogging toilets? Strange girl. Pretty though. Griffin's mind flashed to the way Jackie played with her brown hair. That hair looked so soft, he wondered what it would be like to just reach out and touch it. No! I'm not going to have a crush on some weird girl I just met, he told himself. He gently took Posie's shoes off her feet, then kicked off his own and layed on the bed. But as he fell asleep, he had to keep pushing thoughts of Jackie out of his mind.

Jackie stepped on the edge of the hallway. She made a line with her foot then stood there. She started running down the hall and jumped, landing on a fringe piece of the carpet and tripping. She slipped and her butt crashed into their door.

Griffin, a light sleep, jolted awake when he heard a crash outside the door. Posie slept through it, but Griffin got up quietly and slipped out the door as not to wake his sister. Seeing Jackie lying on the ground, he couldn't help but smile just a little. He forced himself not to think of, well, the kind of things he had been thinking not twenty minutes earlier.
"You okay?"

"Yup." She said, getting up. "I was trying to practice my long jump just in case one day I became an olympian or something." She explained. "If you became one what would you be?" She asked curiously.

"What kind of question is that?" Griffin asked with a little smile. But then he went quiet thinking.
"A swimmer," he finally decided. He remembered taking Posie to the pool, just a few days before they left. He'd always loved to swim, and Posie found it amazing how fast and strong he was when he cut through the water.
"What about you? Long jump?"
