"Four years." She said quickly. "How old is your sister." She said, trying to change the subject. She squirmed a bit, thinking of her father and accidentally kicked Griffin. "Sorry." She said. "What did I hit." She said opening her eyes and sitting up a bit.

"Six," Griffin said. Then, pain. Pain. You know, with her feet in his lap...he bent over, holding his breath. "I'm ok," he gasped out. "Just a sec".

She looked at him. "Your kidding right, you look like your dying." She said, raising her eyebrows. She sat up and criss crossed her legs, allowing him to ball up if he was in enough pain. "You'd never survive on the streets." She said. "Sometimes people try to pick at you."

Recovering, Griffin shot her a dirty look.
"You're a girl, you don't get it," he said roughly. "And so you know, I've been living on the streets for three whole days." Oops, that made him sound weak. She'd been on her own for four years, and he thinks half a week is tough?
"Sorry," he muttered.

"Wouldn't understand, I livedd on the street for 3 months, before I met these guys! They're dangerous predators out there that I had to avoid at night before I found safety with these guys! I've had my meal with fights and brawls, thank you." She said crossing her arms.

"Sorry," Griffin said again. He ran his hand through his blond hair and sighed. Look, can we just pretend that didn't just happen?" He moved closer so their legs were almost touching.
"And sorry if I'm keeping you up," he said quietly, leaning towards her so his lips were centimeters from touching her hair.

"I take naps throughout the day, so I'm fine." She said. She smiled. "If I was mean, I would headbutt you right now. But, I'm not, my sisters another story." She bit her lip thinking about them. They were just like mother, mean, cruel and always thinking i was a jerk.

Griffin gave her a look of genuine concern.
"Do you want to talk about it?" he asked softly. He knew what it felt like to be mistreated by family.

"No." She grunted,laying down on the table and closing her eyes. "Wanna raid a resteraunt tomorrow?" She asked. It was always fun to poke in and take a tray of biscuits or two and then run from the police all the while, trying to make sure you don't lose any of the priceless food.

Griffin grinned.
"Sounds fun," he said. But a flicker of doubt crossed his mind. Leaving Posie alone while he was in another room was one thing. Leaving her alone in the house was entirely different. But he trusted Jackie.
"Is it safe for Posie to stay alone?"
