Ƥɛяƨσиαℓιтʏ || "I'm often called the more serious one of the band. That's where I get the name Daddy Direction and Papasmurf. Even though I'm called the serious one, I'm not so serious behind the scenes. I do understand why I'm considered the dad of the band, but that doesn't mean I don't like to joke around a bit. I like to be a good role model for our fans and sometimes I have to keep the band together, so I guess that's why I'm a little more serious.
The lads often say I'm quite sweet, which I would say is true. I like to be nice to everyone, because everyone deserves it. I don't think there is a person in this world who is truly bad, or mean. The lads also say I'm caring, sweet and caring. I like to be there for everyone, in everything they do, be there to support them. I've really learned to appreciate everything after what I've been through. when I was born, one of my kidneys wasn't working. I recently found out it is working, but I had to get 32 vaccinations a day when I was young just to survive with only one working kidney. It was tough, but i've learned that through the tough times, you just have to hope and believe."
Ħιƨтσяʏ || "I auditioned for The X Factor when I was 14, but Simon Cowell said I was too young and told me to come back in a couple of years. So I did, as a solo audition. But I didn't make it through bootcamp, just like Niall, Louis, Harry and Zayn. And that's when we were put into a band. We finished third in the competition, but Simon still gave us a record deal. We made an album called Up All Night which when released in the UK and Ireland, did incredible. And when we released it in the USA, we did something no other British/Irish group had done. Our album debuted at number one in the Billboard charts. And we have the most amazing fans all over the world, to make things even better."
