You're just a teenager, fresh out of school. You want to party, have fun, fall in love, make new friends, and go on the journey called life this summer. Who can blame you?

However, real life is hard. Maybe you're lucky enough to skip that lesson until later. Maybe that's what you've had to deal with your entire life. Maybe you have to learn this lesson now. It doesn't matter. All you know is that your parents wanted to give you a little taste of "the real world". They went and signed you up for a weird hostel-like program, where you'll have to live with numerous others for 3 months. You and numerous other teens from all around the states have been chosen to participate in the program. It's located in the forests of New York, so you can explore and enjoy nature to your heart's delight!

Now, things like food, water and other necessities will be provided. Luxuries like other clothes from the ones you packed? No way. If you want toys and treats, you'll have to suck it up and get a job somewhere.

Can you make it? Or will you spend this summer in misery?

-- All members staying inside the mansion are to be in bed by 11 o'clock P.M.
-- Members are allowed to go out of the mansion's grounds, but must be back by 10:30 P.M.
-- Non-perishable food shipments will come once every two weeks. Perishable food shipments will come every week. If the food in the mansion runs out beforehand, members must buy more food with their own money.
-- Letters to and from family are allowed. However, no packages or gifts will be given to the members.
-- No fighting. Members who break this rule will be expelled from the mansion's grounds.

Name: "Um, my name is Chloe Foínika Emmerich. Please don't ask, even I'm not completely sure. One time, I looked up my names; it said Chloe was Greek for flower, Foínika was Greek for phoenix, and Emmerich was German for royalty."
Nickname: "Well, you can't really pull any nicknames out of Chloe, can you? I have been called "freak", "loser", and "psychopath" Don't tell anyone, but I secretly call myself Phoenix."

Getting to Know Me

Personality:"Hm, that's a toughie."
Awkward: Chloe definitely knows how to kill a conversation. It's not that she tries to, but she says the awkwardest things that make people say "Oh, look at the time! Gotta go!". She likes friendships and all, but for her, they're pretty hard to make. Keeping a conversation alive is quite difficult, and when she attempts talking, she stutters and acts like an idiot. She hates huge crowds without a friend by her side; they make her extremely jumpy and nervous.

Bittersweet: She can be a sweetheart if she opens up to you. Once she knows you, she can be fun-loving and odd, but in a good way. She loves giving hugs and receiving them aren't half-bad either. Anything past that though, and she might freak out. Be it love issues, emotional or physical trauma, or you just want to talk, she'll try her hardest to be there. She likes to randomly compliment people. If she doesn't know you, however, she can be a bit harsh.

Kid-at-Heart: Spongebob or Scrubs? Chloe would pick a kid's show over an "adult" show any day. She loves cartoons and toys and play-pretending. She knows how to act mature, but she'd rCather be over at the bouncy house than talking with adults. She doesn't get many sexual innuendos, but when she does, she turns a bright cherry red and becomes almost completely quiet. She's oblivious to flirts and often tries to make an excuse before they start to throw themselves at her. Academically, she's pretty smart; romantically though, she's more dimwitted than a goldfish.

Nerdy: She's the kind of girl who you would find analyzing a fossil than getting her hair done. She loves science to no end, especially Biology and Chemistry. She's not very nerdy in the sense of tv-show fandoms, however. If Doctor Who comes up in a conversation, she'll most likely go "Who? You don't know your own doctor's name?". Chloe's pretty open to new things though. Math is probably her hardest subject, but the lowest grade she's ever gotten in that class was a B-. She's a bit too ditzy to help out a lot with homework, but she tries to help people whenever she can. Even though she's quite smart, her common sense is lacking. She often forgets to put things up, and does things without thinking them through.

Likes: "Oh! This'll be easy!"
- Chocolate. Just give her a little bar and she'll be pleased with you for the rest of the day.
- Animals. She thinks they're adorable, and loves stroking their fur.
- Sunshine. She loves the warmth of the sun, and will be outside as long as she possibly can.
- Japanese culture. Everything from the food to the music.
- Harry Potter.
- Bright colors. They attract her attention very well, and cheer her up.
- The color heliotrope. It's an odd, not very known color. It varies from person to person, and that's why she loves it. One day, she wishes to get heliotrope streaks in her hair.

Dislikes: "Ack."
- Driving.
- Storms. She's not exactly scared of thunder and lightning, but she wants them gone as soon as possible.
- Extremely cold days.
- The fact that she puts in lots of fillers in her sentences.
- Being considered a freak or a weaboo.
- Blood. It freaks her out.

- Moths.
- Natural disasters.
- Dying without ever being liked or loved.

Hobbies:"Well, I like painting, practicing piano, and learning new languages. I'm currently attempting to learn German. People say I'm good at singing, but I hate singing in front of others, and I'll only do it when I'm by myself."

"You just had to make this whole ordeal that much more awkward, didn't you?"

History:"My history was fairly normal. I was born in Okinawa to a military family. We lived there for quite a while; about eight years. I learned Japanese, got to see cherry blossoms, that kind of stuff. I vaguely remember going to a Japanese school instead of a American one for about a year. Around the time I was eight -I think the date was June 26th, 2004- we moved back to America. I don't think many people liked me too much because I was bilingual and lived on a different continent for eight years. It didn't really matter to me, I liked being alone. I didn't have to worry about the drama anymore. Around that time, my dad had to work more often, and my mom had to start work in order to generate more money for the family. I was left by myself for long periods of time. I left the house to explore the surrounding forests quite often. Now, my mom and dad still work, but not as long as they used to. They said they "would cut down on working time to spend more time as a family". So there you have it. Story of my life."
Family: "Just a mom and a dad. Mom works as a substitute teacher, dad works in the Air Force. I'm pretty sure he's a boss of people or something."
Pets: "My parents don't really care for pets. I like helping out at the rescue shelter though."
