Before he knew it, a girl was offering a hand to help him up. "I almost had it." He rubbed the back of his neck, feeling some sort of pain there. He felt his green eyes [censored] to look up at this girl. It wasn't anyone he had met before... heck... he had no clue who anyone here was. "Yeah... a hand would be nice." He worked up a smile, and pulled himself up once he got a good grip of her hand.

"I'm new..." He dazed off for a small moment. "I mean, I'm Jayson. It's like Jason, but, it has a y just for the heck of it I guess." He laughed weakly, he was horrible at being funny. Jayson reached and grabbed his skateboard, and examined it for any dents like he always had. There were none, luckily. "Thanks for the help, Cass."

(( I'm mobile, just so you know. ))

Victoria watches him as he sits. She pulls up the pictures on her camera, looking through the pictures. She looks up at him as he asks if she wants a smoothie. She shakes her head no as she looks back to the pictures. She wondered which he'd want. She figures the angle she usually does and the side view would work.
Victoria hums a song as she deletes pictures that she didn't like. It was a Linkin Park song, new. She looks about, pushing her hair out of her eyes again, fixing her sunglasses.

    ΛППΛBΣᄂᄂΣ..

Sunlight slinking down through the leaves made it's way down to my face... I had fallen asleep in the backyard. Laughter and shouts soon brought me to my surroundings, a bright clear sunny day with many people enjoying it. "I miss Indiana." was all I could whisper to myself as I slowly stood up and stretched. I fixed the hammock that had suprisingly not flipped last night. "Now that would be a bummer." My bare feet slunk across the ground, being tickled by the bright green blades of grass as I began to slowly whistle to myself.

I wasn't suprised that no one had noticed my absense. Being in a large family of seven, everyone was well, always busy. Her father had to be early for his first day of his new job, her mother was job hunting, her brothers were probably at the beach, and her little sister had most likely tagged along no matter how many groans her brothers could sputter out.

After about five minutes, I had finally gotten up to my small loft bedroom. Looking around my bedroom, I found something that I could wear for a day at the beach; a dark purple bathing suit and a white and gray shirt over it, along with bright red pants. It didn't matter that I didn't like the beach, I could do some jogging along the water, that is, after I find my brothers... oh, and my little sister.

"A fun day at the beach." I murmured to myself as I hopped down the steps. After getting out the door, running across two streets and walking down the wooden stairs, I was finally there. The sea-scented air hit my nose and seagulls roared with excitement. "A fun day at the beach." I repeated to myself, beginning to run down the beach.

People glanced my way with funny expressions... I got that a lot. A 6'4" red head, just running down the beach. I suddenly felt very awkward... like I always do.

-Still on my iPod; sorry for short post. I'll do Ember in a bit.. -

Adrian was so focused on his game of Temple Run he didn't even jump at the loud crash he heard a little ways down. "Almost there.... Just a little more," he said softly to himself. So close to beating the three million score. "No! D*mn it." He yelled rather loudly after he died, getting rather nasty looks from the parents. He smiled sheepishly to the parents, then desided he was tired of the game. So he wrapped his iPod up and put it in his pocket.
Adrian stood up slowly, not really wanton to get up. He dusted he sand off his pants then just stood there, watching the water. He wished he had his scetch book at this time. He loves to draw, and the ocean is perfect at the moment.

    ᄂIΛM..

I had already woken up from 6:30 that morning, from the large, fluffy cat, Mr. Wiggles. I had not named him, it had been my youngest sister's fault. But the way he stalked his prey, usually me, he would wiggle his haunches back and forth before pouncing... so yeah, I guess it was a fitting name. Mr. Wiggles.

I ran a hand through my hair as I looked around the kitchen until my eyes rested down on my father, who was staring right back at me with his bright blue Polish eyes, that I had inherited, though I had the Italian brown hair from my mother... and glasses. No one else had bad eyesight in my family, except me, and I was pretty much blind. "What?" I asked softly, tensing up a bit at the grim look on the retired Navy cadet's face.

"Take your sisters to the beach today, Liam. Your mother's at work today, and I should be going soon. Thanks son." I turned around and sighed, looking down at my four little sisters all lined up with towels and bright colorful bathing suits on. I hate the beach. I thought bitterly before I told them to hang on one second. I darted up the stairs, hit my head on the door, and then casually walked into my bedroom.

{Hey guys! Glad to see that you could make it! Anyways I wanted to let you know that I'm really lagging in the muse department today.
I have been really sick lately so I'm pretty tired and brain-dead lol. I will hopefully get a reply in later tonight though! :P }

:: Name-- Chance Kenneth Haines.
Chance is pretty much cool with whatever nickname you can come up with for him, though his full first name is easy enough to stick with, in his opinion. However, call him Cha-Cha and he’ll snap at you. He finally got rid of that horrid nickname after leaving middle school and is in no mood for it to return.

:: Age-- Seventeen.
Born on January 14th.

:: Gender-- Pretty darn male.
You’ll just have to take his word for it.

:: Ethnicity-- American.
Though his family background is mostly German and Polish.

:: History-- It’s kind of a(n) –insert adjective here- story.

Chance grew up in your standard household with two caring parents a pet cat named Karma (which still lives to this day). Now, his dad was a little on the stricter side, but Chance always got decent grades and never had many to complaints from teachers as he was always one of the less outspoken students that just went to school, sat down, then got up at the end of the day. He didn’t bring home a huge variety of friends, really only two. They were the siblings Christel and Ace. Christel made her parents feel a little awkward with her loud personality and bright pink hair (well, his mom personally fawned over it, his dad...not so much) while Ace was more of the dark “mysterious” one who easily got ticked off by his sister. Chance began to notice was gay when, instead of feeling bubbly and nervous around Ace, not girls like Christel. It was...well, to be honest it was slightly alarming, but he was accepting of it nonetheless.

So one day when Christel couldn’t make it over after school, Chance decided to suggest something. Now, they were both young and he and Ace already knew that the other hadn’t kissed any girls (or guys). Chance suggested they just practice on each other using the: “Hey, we’re both guys, so it’s nothing serious or anything,” line. Ace had just kind of shrugged in agreement and they awkwardly got to it. Well, Chance was really the only awkward one despite having suggested it. Ace was always one to go with the flow and not really care.

And then Chance’s mom walked in. Yep. And she actually took the sight of her adolescent son kissing one of his best friends- who was also male- pretty well. She sat Chance down at the end of the day and they both had a nice heart to heart chat. Turns out that his mother was fine with his sexuality, being the laidback woman she is. Once they tried to explain it to his dad, however, once Chance got his first boyfriend, the man stayed dead silent and just kind of stared at Chance with slightly disapproving eyes.

He seemed to get used to it, though, and gradually accepted that his son was eyeing guys over girls. He actually even cracked playful jokes about how half of the guys Chance brought home made better partners than half of the girls in town that wore skirts way too short for their own good.

When it came time to tell his father’s family who always tried to set him up with family friend’s daughter...things went downhill. They didn’t take it well. His aunt was persistent in telling him how he had to get a girlfriend, that having a boyfriend was simply unacceptable and would cause him to be a failure as a grown man- all such nonsense. His mother took his side, which resulted in his aunt accusing her of being a bad mother while his father just sat silent and out of the way of insults. Even when his mother snapped at him to do something, he didn’t. That man didn’t defend him or his mother at all.

It has been years since that incident and now his parents are edging closer and closer to a divorce and his other family on his father’s side still bugs him whenever they make an appearance. As for his friends, they still live back where he moved from, though they promised to stay in touch.

:: Personality-- A chance to meet Chance.

Chance is a quiet type of guy at first glance. He’s never one to make unnecessary remarks or raise his hand in school. That and he doesn’t exactly go up to every person who sees to converse with them. If he’s bored and he sees someone genuinely interesting that he thinks he can hold out a conversation for a little while with, however, he’ll be happy to approach them. He isn’t rude either, so if someone starts talking to him he won’t ignore him. And, if he doesn’t want to talk, he’ll be polite to a stranger and just say that he has to be somewhere. He can be a bit people-picky, just remember, so he doesn’t have loads of close friends. Most people find that they can get along with him though and once he does get talking to you as a friend, he'll hold out a pretty good conversation, even tease and sass a little. He's actually a cheerful person once you get to know him.

He’s also a bit
clumsyand scatterbrain-ish. Chance trips down the stairs, bumps against counter tops- his mom says that he was like that even as a baby, that if she took her eye off him for a second he’d run into a wall or something else that could give him brain damage. He basically lacks natural grace in normal movements and sports. Don’t even get him started about sports. Well, he’s pretty good at track and running though, as long as there isn’t a ball for him to stumble around with. He also is the type to forget what he was watching right when it switches to commercial or put something down somewhere and search around the house for it five minutes later. That could be due to past outcomes of his clumsiness as a toddler.

Let’s not forget that he’s also
ticklish. And extremely ticklish at that. Shoulders, knees, sides (especially sides), feet, you name it. He hates being tickled since he’s often told it makes him giggle like a little girl. It really adds to his pretty much nonexistent “manly pride.” It also doesn't help that he's kind of easily flustered.

:: Likes--

Sweets.
Movies; modern or old.
Energy drinks.
Music.
Travelling.
And, to be honest, kittens.

:: Dislikes--

Foods that are too bitter or spicy.
People who are just plain rude or stuck-up.
Homophobes.
Getting up early.
Players.

:: Fears-- Spiders.
Don't laugh, but Chance will flip out over even the tiniest little spider.

:: Hobbies-- Reading, reading, and reading.
Chance totally loves a good book, just so you know. Other than that, he has some stuff he likes to do, but nothing he's super into. He'll always be open to trying new things though.

:: Was most embarrassed when-- His mom took him to a belly dancing class.
Besides what his mom walked in on all those years back with him and Ace, the second most embarrassing thing would be when she took him to her belly dancing lesson. It was already bad enough that she was going, but the woman dragged him along too, guess how many giggles that got out of the class. So yeah, Chance can actually belly dance.

:: Orientation-- Homosexual
He decided a while back that he just isn’t into girls, plain and simple.

:: Relationship Status-- Single.

:: Crush-- None as of now.

Ember closed the door with a soft click. Her Granmama was asleep still and she didn't want to wake her by staying in the house. She started walking the short distance to the beach, lost in her own world. As she approached the beach the first thing she saw was a small smoothie stand. Smiling softly she walked over to it and ordered a mango smoothie. She sat of one of the bar stools and waited for her order to be made. Swinging her legs back and forth rather childlike. Finally after about five minutes she got her smoothie. She grabbed it happily and got off the bar stool, walking a little ways down the beach finding a great place to sit down on the sand. She wasn't to far away from everyone, she could still here the excited chatter, and people were still walking past her rather often. She sighed contently and pulled her Harry Potter book out of her bag, sipping her smoothie happily as she read.
