Finally. After about a week of waking up early and unpacking, Ashtyn was finally done. The thought ran through her head multiple times as she giggled, and flopped down on her newly made bed. Her guitar was neatly tucked in a corner beside her fancy little keyboard she got for her birthday. All. Perfect. Ashtyn laughed quietly and hopped off her bed, and got dressed. Cause, y'know, cleaning is a lot easier without changing for the day. So, the Irish blond switched form her black Soffee shorts and navy blue tank top, to some denim shorts, and a cute, yet casual floral shirt. Her hair cascaded down her shoulders in their natural, beachy waves. Something cool laid against Ashtyn's chest, and she smiled as her hand closed around her precious silver heart locket. Her real mother gave it to her when she was seven, and she never took it off since. Never. Especially now that her mother was gone. The blond softly nibbled her lower lip with a soft smile as her mothers face appeared in her mind. Quit it Ashtyn, you're only gonna make it worse... she snapped t herself, shaking her head clear of the image.
So, Ashtyn skipped to her bathroom, which luckily was in her room. Mara didn't kid when she said the house was massive... Mara, her adoptive mother. They were a unique family... A British mum, an Irish daughter, and a German dog. As if on cue, Riptide scampered into the room, the large German Shepard bounced over to Ashtyn as she applied the litle makeup she ver wore, nosing her leg with a excited yip. After applying some light mascara and eyeliner, she giggled and looked down. "Hey girl! Wanna listen to some music?" she cooed, and as if she understood, the dog let out a happy bark, trotting over to the speaker that had her iPhone hooked up to it. Ashtyn grinned and scrolled through a series of songs, before settling on one of her favorite bands, The Fray. Immediately Look After You came on, and Ashtyn hopped up, sliding on her red Toms and singing along. Her door was shut, so Mara couldn't yell at her for playing it too loud, but Ashtyn could care less if she did or not. It was fun! The girl danced around the room, every now and then, picking up Riptide's front paws and dancing around with her. And then again, played a few matching chords ot the song on the keyboard, singing along, and the same with her guitar.
Ashtyn wasn't a badd singer. In fact, she was really, really good. Mara had offered her a deal when she first heard her, since she is a major music producer, but she refused. In fact, Ashtyn enjoyed having a private life, and wouldn't give it up for fame. So, she kept her talent to herself. Then, the next song on the playlist came on, How To Save A Life. And Ashtyn sang along to that as well. Ashtyn grinned and played to the song on her little keyboard, fingers flowing over the keys with crazy skill, and her voice spilling over the music, having a wonderful time. Her vibrant electric blue eyes glowed with enjoyment. Music just.. spoke to her.
