Personality:
{ Shakespeare is distant and cold, he doesn't like to socialize with other people much. His experiences have changed him from a happy, go-lucky nine year old to a sad and cold sixteen year old. He is a negative person and doesn't believe in himself. He is very pessimistic and hates life. His history probably has something to do with that. He doesn't like other people and if you approach him, he'll most likely just glare at you and move away. He is not the kind of person that you can get to know easily. He is mostly sarcastic and kind of rude, but sometimes you can catch him in a good mood where he will be a little more talkative and bubbly, but that is rare, though if it's snowing he is sure to be like that.
Don't expect Shakespeare to talk to you if he doesn't want to, he will just brush you off with a cold shoulder or a glare if he doesn't like talking with you or the topic doesn't interest him. He gets extremely touchy when you talk about his past, he doesn't feel very comfortable telling others about what happened to him. He doesn't like to admit it, but he wants to be happy again. He wants to be able to laugh and grin. Laughing is something that he has not done, truly, in a long time.
For the most part, he keeps a collected, cool, calm exterior around himself so others won't see what is going on inside of him. He manages to stay apart from the crowd and keep to himself. He lets others get close, but only as close as he wants them to be. It's rare for anyone to be able to get closer to him than he feels comfortable with.
If you try to get your point across to Shakespeare when he doesn't want to listen, it is rather like talking to a tree. He simply won't budge.
He is most definitely not an open-book. His feelings, fears and desires are buried deeper than any normal person could bury something within them. He is like the butterfly that chooses to remain hidden in it's cocoon until it is ready and prepared to emerge, so the true Shakespeare spirit remains hidden behind a screen of day-to-day activities. That's why Shakespeare is often regarded as snobby, withdrawn, boring, or even sulky.
The truth is, when Shakespeare manages to operate on his own form of automatic pilot, he can switch off from the world around him. When he does switch off, he is actually gathering in his inner reserves to deal with the outside pressures. Like a snail protecting itself against its predator by drawing itself into its shell.
His real personality is shrouded in mystery and it almost seems like he is just a doomsayer who cares nothing for his own life. That is untrue, however, but he hides the truth very well. If you dare, you can try to get to know him, but be prepared for a rude, cruel, and sarcastic person who has no confidence and no reason for living. The one and only time anyone will ever be able to see through this mask is when Shakespeare has to protect someone he cares about or when one of them is in danger, then and only then will Shakespeare's true colors start to dribble through. }
History:
{ On a hot second of June, Shakespeare was born. He had two loving parents, and as the years passed, he gained two younger brothers. The family of five was happy and lived a good life. They were all very excited when Shakespeare's mother announced that she was expecting again; this time a girl. Eight months later, she arrived, but her mother did not survive. Shakespeare's world crumbled for the first time in his ten years. His father took to working long hours and drinking when he returned. Shakespeare was left with three younger siblings, one a newborn, to take care of mostly on his own.
Four years passed and Shakespeare had taken over as the caretaker of his siblings completely. One night, his father did not return home from work. That was normal, for he often went to a bar and did not return home till morning. However, this time his father did not return in the morning. As the days went by, Shakespeare realized his father had disappeared. Not wanting to be found out by the police and have the family separated, Shakespeare used his meager amount of money, earned from small jobs he did around town, to pay the rent and feed his siblings. They managed, though Shakespeare become more and more indifferent outside of home as time ticked by.
Two years later, his father returned with a wife. Disgusted, Shakespeare tried to force his father to go away, but failed. His father sent him to a program in New York to 'reform' him, saying that he was a messed up kid and needed to grow up and listen to what adults said. }
