She smiled softly, glad to get a response out of him. She hadn't seen his face, so this gave her an overpowering desire to find out what it is, to some how tempt him to look up, just so that she could see his basic features. Though she didn't something told her not to, whether it was the fact that she had lost interest or she knew how hard the position was. She slowly pushed some of her long, black hair behind her ears, revealing her beautiful face and eyes. She tried to smile softly, though didn't exactly do too well, as smiling was her strong point. "What were you trying to get away from?" She asked casually, referring to the fact that he was here, on this trip, and not in some small place with his family.

Maya contained her laugh, though couldn't help her smirk. "I doubt they hate you..." She replied soothingly, trying to wrap her head around how someone as quiet as him, would be able to make his parents hate him so much. Unless he was over reacting, though, it still wouldn't work. "Trust me, if you knew half of the things I get up to, they'd see you as an angel." She chuckled, bagging herself.

I look up finially. My deep green eyes looking at Maya I had a small smile on my face “ well…they do hate me…got a scar to prove it…” I say softly my eyes full of the pain now rembering when his dad and him where out herding the sheep and that I had let one get away and then he whipped me across the back…

Maya's smile grew as he lifted his gaze to meet hers, and took in his features while she could. She almost considered looking down at he feet in embarrassment, though persuaded herself not to, knowing that she would have to be the one keeping the conversation. Her smile faded just as quickly as it appeared once he explained that he had gotten a scar from his father. Her brow creased in concern, and held tilted slightly to the right. "Seriously?" She replied, almost unbelievingly, "Why would he scar you? What could've you done that was that bad?!"

Maya raised a hand and went to place it on his shoulder for comfort, thought thought better of it, and reluctantly pulled it back down by her side. In order to try and change the subject, she tried to regain her signature smirk, though found in difficult doing so. "Like I said, if they knew half of things that I got up to, you'd be a God sent." Then, realizing that it was exactly the best change of topic she could come up with, so instead found herself blubbering on randomly. "I couldn't help but notice how shy you are...But you're not really, are you? You're just...um...." She muttered trying to figure it out, "I'm not shy, I'm just quietly examining my prey!"

Maya laughed softly and shook her head, her British accent hanging in the air around them. "That's what I used to say, when, well, I was..." At this point her gaze turned down to the floor and her voice grew softer. What was she doing? She was making a fool of herself. He head suddenly flicked up, searching for his soft green gaze to lock with hers. "It used to creep people out, you should give it a shot one day, they'll leave you alone." She joked, returning her piercing bright blue oculars back to the ground once again.

I smiled again my dimples growing deeper. I watched as she turned her head to the ground
“ what do you mean when you used to be?” I asked out of the blue my voice became solid and it didn't sound shy
