Az caught the hint of red that flashed on Noah's cheeks, and she knew he saw her blush. Crap. She thought, the small tingling feeling lingering in the pit of her stomach. She saw Phoenix was eyeing them, and she glared right back at her, daring her to taunt her in any way. Suddenly one of the ravens shot towards Phoenix, its eyes glistening with murder. Azalea felt sickness spread within her as it was about to kill her, rip apart her body and peck at the bones. When suddenly, another career saved her, pushing her out of the way. Azalea turned to Noah, seeing that everybody's attention was to the birds. "We should go, now!" She hissed, she wasn't going to wait around for the other tributes to attack or for the ravens to attack them. They already were choosing their victims.

Korra had her eyes fixed on Azalea. Anger burned deep down in the pit of my stomach. I saw an oportunity that my father would be screaming at our simple t.v set to take. I saw red, my hand instantly flickering to my knives at my belt. She had her back to me, confronting Azalea. I again heard my fathers voice in my head and felt him strike me across the side of my face. "Throw straighter!" he cried before striking me again. I would show him! I plucked a knife from my side, sliding it out of my belt. I pushed the tip of my finger on the point of the plade and pulled it away, watching as the dent slowlt faded away. I ran my finger along the sharp edge then drew back my arm. I hesitated and felt the shadow of another blow that I knew he would punish me for if this was merley a practice. I grunted as I threw the knife as hard as I could, my shoulder cracking with the force of the throw. I watched as the knife flipped blade over hilt and thudded into Korras back, burrying itself deep. I ran as she sunk to the ground, pulling the knife from her as I ran past. I tripped and landed on a sore knee before digging my feet into the ground and pushing myself back to my feet. I looked back over my shoulder.. I had taken a risk in getting that close to Noah and Azalea and worried that they would react before I could resume my defensive post beside Phoenix. I felt Something was off. The cannon had not sounded. I was sure she had died...

The second raven, closest to Briar and Pheonix, noticed Korra lying on the ground and saw its chance. In a flurry of feathers, it picked KOrra's boody up, lifted her out, and into the forest. There was the boom of a cannon, and the raven didn't come back.

"Ah..." The teen mused quietly, his eyes never leaving the raven. "So- to get these oversized chickens to go away, you kill someone." Torrent gave an evil grin. "Well, I think I can manage that." Unfortunately, the two tributes who's death would benifit him had proved to be intelligent. Right now, stabbing Phoenix or Briar would not be smart, for that would be quite obviously severing the alliance, making a deadly opponent out of the one tribute who might be able to help him get out of this mess. So, Azalea and Noah were really the only two people he could aim Barney at. He should have got Noah with his knives- or Briar should have- but he'd proved he could think on his feet by diving to the ground with his ally. Why on earth had he saved Azalea? If he'd saved only himself, then it'd be one more opponent down. Torrent puzzled this for a moment, before coming to a conclusion- without Azalea, it'd be him against 3 highly skilled careers. Not the best situation to be in.
"Nice kill." He commented to Briar.

"Some call me mad. If that gives me the edge to win, you won't find me protesting."

Hearing yet another cannon sound, Sorrel grimaced. How many dead now since the tornados had entered the arena? One had fallen whilst the tributes were fleeing them, two others in quick succession, and now this one. Four dead out of a single move made by the gamemakers. How easy to end a life. The press of a button, a barked command. It hardly seemed fair.
Because it wasn't fair.
Still, she was grateful for her meal and her insect repellent. Deciding that becoming cold would serve no purpose, Sorrel removed her sleepingbag from the backpack and arranged it in the ferns, before snuggling down- still out of sight. She unzipped the side so she'd be able to slip out at a moment's notice, but allowed herself to wander to happier times.
