I saw her wince, and felt my own face seize up. I hated watching her in pain. I knew the alliance would last until she was healed, but the look in her eyes ant the infection thatwas probably already settling into the wound prevented that from happening. I ran my fingers through my head and thre it back, hitting it off the trunk of the tree. I was angry. The hunger games was probably thought of as a sick joke during one of the capitols many parties 'as a laugh' to punish the districts.
At her question, I looked up. Hunger moaned at me and I felt the blood rush to my cheeks. "erm...ok-ish" as if to contradict my words, my stomach gurgled again. I clamped my hand over it, feeling the hard muscles under the skin. I looked at her, really looked, and saw how pale she was, how much blood had been lost. Wobbling again, I clasped both arms firmly round the trunk in a movement faster than I thought I was capable of. My cheek pressed against the cool bark and I breathed in the scent of the forest radiating through it. "Hi" He muttered, catching Aiden looking hat him, "Hows you?"

I heard Torrents call and stopped, hands on my knees. I gulped in air before whistling three short, sharp calls. I hoped the sound would travel far enough and he would hear them in time...and know what they ment. I continued along my path, taking a sip from the bottle of water I had hastily thrown in the backpack. I heard the voices of Noah and Azalea, indicating I was getting close. As I neared the small clearing where the fight had broken out, I slowed my pace and half crouched, edging foreward with my knife drawn. I slowly made my way too the very edge before stopping. I drew back my arm, muscles tensed and when I heard my name, I let fly with the dagger, hearing it thud into Noahs calf. I emerged from the bushes, the second dagger in my hand, waiting to bury it into anyone who moved. I glanced down, laughing slightly at Phoenix's neck and the parachute that had given her medicine to seal her wound. Horror crept up on me when I saw her bow in Azaleas hands. I was still crouched and tensed, ready to flee. I hoped Torrent would be here soon. I started when Niall emerged from the bushes, but quickly composed myself and shot him a glare, my hand tight round my knife.
