"Really? And setting up a freaking bear trapon a remote island is for bears, I suppose? Watching our every movement and chasing me through the jungle is just a game?" Her lip curled as she glared at him, obviously spiked by his comment. "These people obviously don't want us here anymore than we want to be here."

"How do you know that the trap was meant for us? There are things such a panthers and jaguars, you know. Maybe it is a game. But a cruel one, at that." Ashton said, unfazed by her anger. But he didn't want to voice the rest of his thoughts. That the locals were just toying with them, making them paranoid and then closing in for the kill. But he shook his head, clearing the thoughts. Survival of the first night was key. They could worry about the rest later. "Calm down. We don't want them coming for us." he said cautiously.

"Thanks.... a lot." Madeline said to both of them in a soft quiet voice. She remained looking up at the moon and the stars. She turned her attention over to the lean-to. It looked like it was built well and would keep them somewhat safe throughout the night. "I won't need your blanket, you can keep it" She told Allison. "I'm already about to fall asleep. Looks like its time to move in." She said with a small yawn, she slowly stood up,barely putting any weight on the injured foot. She grabbed her bag and looked at the lean-to and then at them. " So, who is sleeping where?" She asked with a slight raise of one of her eyebrows.

.Dustin.
He shinned his flashlight around and looked around, seeing if there was anything unusual in there but he couldn't find anything. "Looks safe to me." He said with a small smile. He yawned and laid his bag down on the rocky ground. He laid down and laid his head on his bag .He glanced at Skylar to see what she would say or do. The ground was very uncomfortable but he was so tired that he could careless.

((I know I didn't say he brought his bag with him but I'm going to now because I forgot to.))

"It doesn't matter." Allison said quietly. "I guess I'll sleep near the front." She stepped to the side, waiting for one of them to get in first.

"I sure hope it was the big cats they were hunting," she narrowed her eyes on him, but the anger began to slowly fade and she looked down, seemingly apologetic. "I'm sorry, but this past day has been rough. I just want to sleep and forget all this."

Skylar sat down, taking her pack off of her back, and set it on the ground next to her. She let out a sigh, setting her flash light up in her pack, so the light shone up, lighting more of the area. She leaned against the wall of the cave, her knife in her hand. She looked at Dustin, an unsure look in her eyes. "We might have to make more weapons. Knives might not be very handy if they have bows and spears." She said, looking at her knife with a sigh.

It"'s fine." Ashton told her "We're all a bit on edge. Go ahead and sleep." He smiled as he said "I promise not to murder you."

Mercedes cheeks flushed, but she managed a tiny smile along the corners of her lips. She leaned her head against his shoulder, wanting to at least believe he'd stay until she was asleep. Don't think I've ever depended on a guy to make me feel safe. I guess there's a first time for everyone.

Ashton felt her slowly relax. But he didn't himself. He kept an constant alert, straining to hear a crack of a branch, a rustle. He felt glad of human company. He would not like to be on this island alone.

Mercedes stirred every once and a while during her sleep, head to his shoulder and shivering slightly. It was odd to think such a warm island could drop to firgid tempatures by night. Her peaceful breathing warmed his cheek as she dreamt of her career before the Island.
