I was just about to blurt out, 'hey! That kinda sounds like my name!' but stopped myself before I did. I nodded a little bit and then came up with an idea, "okay, we should come up with like a code name or nickname or something like that so we aren't all like... 'hey, you' . Im not gonna bramble to not say my name for long..." I said with a shrug. I had this thing I did when I was talking to people. My feet would turn sideways a little bit so that they were on angles, and the bottoms of my shoes were facing each other. I was doing this right now.

"Good idea." I say with a straight thinking face on now. I think of a code name... I had it! Yet I waited for the girl to go first.

-Spencer was quite nervous. She was hating the fact she was dressed all girly. If she had a choice, she would be wearing skinny jeans, tank top, beanie and headphones. It was frowned upon though....

I looked at her for a minute more before speaking, "um. So. What shall we do and or talk about before the formal?" I asked trying to start some sort of conversation. It was gonna turn into an awkward silence if I didn't speak.

I thought up a name for him. I didn't want it to be girly, or just plain weird so I had to think. It took a minute, but I finally came up with one, "Alright, I'm gonna call you... Onyx. Sorry if it's kinda stupid...Marist thing that came to mind." I was probably looking at his black suit when I thought that one up...

Spencer thought. "I'm Spencer." She said offering her name. The silence in the room was weird.

Melinda stood on the front steps eagerly awaiting her partner. she hummed softly as the minutes passed. she saw a small butterfly pass her and she smiled because she thought butterflys were so beutiful. she started to get butterflys in her stomach from the nerves.
