Melinda zipped up her light blue dress.(if you want a description look at my form) she fixed one curl and touched up her make up. then she slipped on her mask over her eyes. she tied it just tight enough so it would be comfortible. she slipped her small feet into the heels and fastened the straps. she was ready. she looked at herself in the full length mirror and smiled approvingly. she looked back up at the clock. she had ten minutesuntil she would meet her partner on the steps. she was very excited.

[ Dragon - I don't want to Godmodd but do you want me to take your place while you're gone, and help out with rule enforcments and such? ]

Krypt had gone up to his room and got into his masquerade attire. He had slipped into into a plain black suit, and an all black, button up shirt underneath. A thin red tie to follow. He had tied a his mask. Plain black also. Krypt was big on wearing mostly black, or dark colors. He looked at himself before walking off to the girls living area. Where he was supposed to meet up with his partner.

Jasey had gone into the bathroom in the room she was living in, and stepped into her dress and zipped it up on the side, and tied the corset back into a neat bow at the bottom. She was never one to ever wear a dress that passed her knees. She walked back into the bedroom area, and slipped on her black strappy heels -which were pretty high- and buckled them on the sides. She even redid her makeup, even though most of her face wouldn't be showing. She put on a plain, light pinkish beige lipstick that just made her lips look paler than usual, and then, tied on her mask, which mathed perfectly to her dress. Same pattern and everything. She teased her hair a little bit to make it look as she wanted it, and then walked down the stairs. Her heels clanking lightly on the floor, and the stairs as she walked down into the shared living room to meet her partner.

Melinda took a deep breath before stepping out of her room into the hallway. she walked down the hallway and down the curving stair case with hef right hand delicately on the rail. her heels clinked on the ground as she steppex down the stairs gracefully. Once she reached the bottom she quickly stepped out of the door onto the front steps. her heart pounded in her ears as she eagerly awaited the arival of her partner.

Spencer's shoes clicked against the wooden floor. She was dressed and ready. She wondered who she would end up with. Hopefully someone that could dance. Not 123 123 dance, but dance with feeling and pasdion.

[Make_a__Scene]

Topaz hadn't lingered in his room for very long; certainly not even long enough to discover who he was rooming with. He'd never really liked being in the same room for too long unless he was working on a project or making prints or something. So he just stayed long enough to drop off his suitcase and change into his suit and mask. After that, he sauntered down the long hallways and across the house, down to the front steps where he was supposed to meet his lady. His mask was perched on top of his head, dark colours standing out against his platinum hair. Around his neck a camera dangled from a strap, thumping against his abdomen with every relaxed step. He was a little worried for his sister; this kind of situation wasn't exactly something she specialized in, and especially when she didn't know anyone, not that he knew of anyway. Fortunately he wasn't going into this blind as to what kind of mask his sister would be wearing. Just before he rounded the corner, he slipped the half mask over his eyes.

Sapphire hated contacts; they felt so thick on her eyes and all she wanted to do was rub at them. Unfortunately, she couldn't find a way to wear her over-sized glasses and her mask. In her eyes, her outfit was completely perfect, and though the mask matched so well, she didn't think it enhanced it in any way and found herself wishing she could just wear her glasses. She donned a sequined black clutch with a long chain for a shoulder strap and put her glasses into the pouch. The only other thing that went in was a small tube of light pink lipgloss. Her shoes were a little high - especially for what she was used to - but she handled them like the perfect lady. And Sapphire was on the short side of the height spectrum, so the heels made her an average height for her age. With the length of her dress and the colour of her tights, the shoes made her legs even look just a little longer. The black lace over hot pink mask already shielded the upper half of her face even before she was in range of her meeting place at the poolside.

((Um, yes while I'm gone that will be great. Speaking of which, I have a family reunion starting next Wednesday, and literally the day after- I'm going to girl's camp. So I will be gone for about 10 days. My dad could possibly let me use his laptop for the first half- because of course he's not going to girls camp- but I wouldn't count on it. Let's try and get through the ball before I have to leave. Which hopefully shouldn't be too hard.))

Wearing the dress made me feel extremely out of place. Yeah I wear dresses, but short ones that are flowy and loose everywhere, not tight at the top and... puffy... at the bottom. I smoothed the fabric, and turned towards my mask. I picked it up and sighed. It matched the dress fairly well, but it didn't hide my face as much as I had wanted it too. But, oh well. It's only 5 minutes until the ball will start, and I still haven't found my partner. Quickly tying the mask on, and slipping on my black flats, I headed out of the room. I rushed down the stairs, then up again on the other side to meet my partner in the boys living area.

My heart raced heavly as I watched my roomate slip on his black mask, and I adjusted my equaly bland white one. " Time to go ", I said in almost a wishper to my roomate Jeremy who seemed not to be nervous at all. Mabey it was because he hid his emotions, or mabey he was acctualy very couragous, but Jeremy seemed to lack fear entierly. I sighed, walking over to the door, mouthing a quick good luck to Jeremy and was out the door. I heard a loud and abrupt laugh come from Jeremy as I left the room as if he was entertained by my wish for luck, he probalby woundt need it after all, he was better looking than I. I walked down to the poolside where I waited for my partner to arrive I strummed my fingers agianst some type of concrete like wall, And wistled a song clearly stuck in my head.

Melinda stood on the front steps eagerly awaiting her partner. she hummed softly as the minutes passed. she saw a small butterfly pass her and she smiled because she thought butterflys were so beutiful.
