Dax's eyes trailed from hers to the darkening sky, but he didn't move. Instead, he slung his arm over Jazlyn's neck and curved his back against the rock to pull her closer, not aware whether Eric was still with them or not. Maybe getting too close to a stranger wasn't a good idea, but he decided to ignore his doubts.

"I can do it." Auden said even though she wasn't so sure if she could. She looked ahead of her then back at Micheal,asking him to show the way. She did that a lot, using her body instead of words.

Eli kicked up some of the sand with his sneaker. He was trying to decide if living on a deserted island was better than returning to his parents. Probably. He shrugged and looked around. His worried look had disappeared. Now he had a faint grin painted onto his face.

Jazlyn smiled softly for once before it faded away quickly. She leaned into him and rested her head on his arm. She glanced around quietly wondering if anyone was still here, maybe Eric? She pressed her lips into a thin line trying to keep a straight face.

Micheal nodded "And you name?" he asked as held out his hand to lead the way.

Mercedes trekked on in silence, wincing with each step. If she wasn't so against painkillers, she might obtain one from Alison. She stubbornly thought against it and led the way down the rocky shore. "Mind telling me what you think's so amusing?" She asked, looking over her shoulder at his gin.

Dax ran a hand down her hair, stroking it softly. The idea of returning home had kept him going, but what if they never did get off the island? What then? How far would everyone go to survive? A shiver went on his spine and he shut out the thought, his jaw set and throat cleared.

"Auden, named after one of Shakespeare's characters." Auden said with a tear in her eye. She pushed the image of her mother out of her head because chances were she would never see her again. Her hand hovored over Micheal's hand. She hesitated but let her hand clasp his.

"Aw nothing." Eli said. He didn't want to explain how he almost disappointed his mother, but a crash happened instead. He noticed the slightest limp coming from her but he didn't mention it,but it did make his grin disperse.

Jazlyn's muscles relaxed slightly at the stroking of her hair. She looked up at him her eyebrows raise slightly at his set jaw he looked tense.

Micheal saw the tear and gently wiped it away. He led her towards the waterfall stepping over a branch and glanced around then back at her.

Dax glanced down at her and merely touched his hand to hers, feeling comfortable against the rock and with Jazlyn against him. Worried thoughts could wait until tomorrow; if help was coming, it wouldn't be long. They would have to wait and see if the chapter would end-or if the pages would continue.

Mercedes narrowed her eyes at him, pursing her lips and agusting her shades. "Fair enough," she muttered, ignoring the limp to her leg. It hurt, but she could deal- many had died in the crash, and whining about a gash to the knee wouldn't bring them back, or sought her any good.

Auden followed Micheal without talking. She was careful to were she stepped. She looked around to take note of everything. She saw a few edible plants that she had studdied for a project a couple years ago.

Eli kept the same pace. He tried to keep a straight face but it was hard for him. He covored his mouth with his hand to keep from laughing.

Jazlyn sighed softly leaning her cheek back on his arm again. She felt the touch of his hand on her and turned it palm side up. She glanced up at the sky "Should we head back with the water..?" she asked reluctantly, feeling comfortable where she was.

Micheal watched her briefly before turning a bend to the entrance. He paused when he heard voices and put a finger to his lips to silence her. He peered through the leaves and saw two people. He watched silently with narrowed eyes.
