Can We Love.. Each Other?

I continued to stumble along while replying, "Yeah, it's a quite magnificent one, if I do say so myself." As my face stayed a light red-hot, I heard him speak clearly. My shoulders shook slightly and my hand trembled gently as I laughed at his comment. "I prefer to be considered one with nature!" I danced around with my arms somewhat flailing and wriggling in the air as I pretended to do a "natural ritual". As I ceased the crazy moves, I grinned wide and shook my head slightly while giggling to myself. I noticed from the corner of my eyes the light shade of red that his face had turned. Phew! Now I don't feel as awkward. "You know, you're pretty funny," I told him as I pushed aside the brush and ambled into the clearing. At the sight, I slightly awed at it. It never ceased to amaze me. The colors of the sky stained purples, pinks, and oranges at the horizon. Slowly I strolled over towards the cliff edge, making sure not to get TOO close, and carefully situated myself on the ground. While waiting for Travis, I smiles then patted the ground lightly to my right, motioning him to sit next to me.

Travis chuckles. "Nice nature ritual you did there." He says with a smile. "Thanks." He says slightly as she says he's funny. Travis follows after her as she move the branch to the cliff. He looks at the sun-set in amazement. "Wow it's nice up here." Travis says. He cautiously sits next to her staring at the sun-set. He watchs the sky before looking at the bottom of the cliff. It was quiet a ways down.

I breathed out a laugh and nodded my head, "I try." After a few moments of silence I heard him speak again. My eyes travel to his face and see the amazement in his eyes. I bobbed my head up and down gently and agreed with him, "Yeah," I whispered loud enough for him to barely hear me. As he hesitantly sits down and stares at the gorgeous view in front of us, I couldn't help but ask, "What's it like? You know..." I trailed off, not wanting to see rude. That's the last thing I needed, making a new.. friend, feel like I'm downsizing them or something. I picked my head up and glanced at him from the corner of my eye waiting for a response.

Travis smile dissapers. He stays quiet for a few seconds. "Well it's hard. We have to find money and even mug people just to survive." Travis explains. "Its even harder if you have siblings. And it makes some of us mad that rich people are always walking by just flashing there money around." He shrugs then just stares at the sky still. He sighs and looks at the ground.

She got off the couch and jogged up the stairs to her room. She pulled open a white chest of draws and grabbed a purple tank top with jean shorts then walked to her own bathroom. She closed the shades, stripped off her clothes and hopped in the shower for around ten minutes. When she was all dry, she threw on the clothes she had brought with her and dried her hair. She put it into braided pigtails. She re-opened the shades and saw the sun shining in the sky that was a beautiful shade of baby blue. The puffy white clouds like cottonballs drifted lazily through the sky. She tore her gaze away from the window and dabbed on some purple eyeshadow to go with her shirt and a little blush. She didn't need a lot. Now that she was refreshed, she walked back downstairs and grabbed a canteen of water. Time to go to the park, she thought. She picked up her sneakers that now smelled wonderful, threw out the tea bags, and slipped them on. Suddenly she remembered something. Murphy! Her dog, Murphy was still in the backyard. Whew, that would have been bad. She pulled open the sliding glass door that led to the backyard and whitled. "Murphy! Come here boy!" She called. Her border collie came running up to her. She patted him on the head and gave him a treat.
