Autumn is a trickster, and he knows how to get the things he wants. Fortunately, his upbringing made him into someone who hates greed. While he isn't afraid to say what's on his mind on a regular basis, when it comes to intimacy, he is easily pushed around and taken advantage of. Even still, Autumn is a people pleaser and would rather someone else be happy than look out for himself. This leads him to a lot of heartbreak.
History:
Autumn was two when his father left, his mother only twenty. They never had very much money, unable to get help from any grandparents - for they had passed away - but they always had some place to live and food to eat. Until Autumn's brother came along. His five-year-old brother, Summer, was the result of a one night stand. After he was born, Autumn's mother could not make enough money to support the two. They were in and out of apartments and homeless shelters for a year. As soon as Autumn turned fourteen he got a worker's permit and started working to help support his family. His mother was able to get back on her feet, and they moved into a two-bedroom, one bath apartment in an unsavoury part of town. Autumn works two jobs, one at night, and the other part-time.

His first serious, long-term relationship involved a beautiful boy named Basil. He lived in the townhouse next to his apartment building. The two were best friends first, talking almost every night by way of sitting at their windows and talking across the alley. When they didn't have the chance to talk, Autumn would fall asleep to the sound of Basil's piano playing. Their relationship soon evolved romantically, and Autumn actually had some time to act his age.

About six months ago when Autumn and Basil were walking home from a date, they were cornered in the alley between their buildings by some gang members. Inappropriate words were thrown about sexual preference, a knife was drawn, pepper spray, more words, a gun, and then blood. And Autumn would never hear Basil's piano again.

The smell of death intoxicated my nostrils, as I took in a deep breath. The floor was slightly damp, covered in things I hadn't wanted to find out. It was very dark, compelling me to go to sleep, but I stayed awake. I hadn't known why I chose the alley as a place to think things over, but I just hadn't wanted to bother anyone with my troubles. Picking myself up from off of the grimy floor, I wiped off my pants, and casually walked out. A smile had instantly took its place on my lips, as he warmth of the sun hit my face. I shoved my hands into the depths of my pockets, and added a small pep to my step. I was never one to be grumpy for long, so I quickly returned to myself. I walked into a diner, it was styled old-fashioned, and it had a nice aura that I adapted to. Ordering a steaming cup of liquid gold, otherwise known as coffee, I sunk into the cushioned seat, and stared out the window. Anticipating the arrival of my sweet addiction.

Alex received his reply with growing anticipation, unable to wait for anything nowadays. He paid the waiter for her services and let her walk off. Now that he knew everything he needed to know about 'Erik', it was time they met face to face."Hey there, how you doing?" Alex walked up to sit in front of this fine fellow, examining his nails for a second before returning his attention to Erik once more.

Ethan strolled up to a candy store, craving some striped lollipops, or maybe jellybeans would cure his hunger. It was worth a shot after all. Walking inside, he hoped none of his pals from school were here, knowing they'd mock him eternally. No one knows he is gay, everyone assumes he's a player who dates as many chicks as he wants. Ethan wished this was true, and then atleast he could live with no secrets to hide. Strolling up along the many rows of candy dispensers, he carefully chose his assortment of: gummy bears, twix bars, and one big purple lollipop.

Autumn didn't even want to come to this stupid party. Not only did he have better things to do - like working to make money so that his family wouldn't be evicted - but the beach reminded him too much of Basil; it was the first place they had kissed. Besides all of that, he was fairly certain that he only knew about one person there. Unfortunately, when his mother found out about it, she had made him attend, telling him that he needed some time to act like a kid, at which point he argued that he was a legal adult. He didn't win that debate. Someone covered his shift at work and he sulked on to the party.

He had never quite gotten the concept of the beaches; the only swimsuit he owned was much too small, since it was one he had gotten from Goodwill when he was twelve. So, he had donned straight-legged jeans, a dark button down shirt and a crimson vest. Of course, his upper half was covered by his trademark plaid jacket, his fuzzy hat atop his head. Autumn did, however, very much enjoy the feeling of the sun-warmed sand on his bare feet, and the way the ebbing waves lapped at his toes; he had immediately ditched his shoes and socks upon arriving on his old bike.

There was no immediate need to huddle in the group, so he went to have some alone time and stand on the edge of the water instead. This didn't last long, though, because he could feel the pressure of hot tears building behind his eyes. The night that they had shared their first kiss together, Basil was playing his guitar, standing in the water, practically up to his knees. Autumn took deep breaths to calm himself, each exhale came with a shudder. Finally deciding that he was presentable enough for people not to bother him, he went to join the small group of people he didn't know.
