Louis woke up about ten minutes after Shiloh had left. He woke up, startled that Shiloh was no longer by his side. Then he saw the note on the table. He squeezed out of bed, slowly, so he wouldn't wake Liam. He read the note and smiled. He'd forgotten about Lucas. Then he realized, if Shiloh said she was going to pick up Lucas tomorrow, it must be tomorrow. He looked at the clock. He'd slept longer than he intended, but he felt rested and well. That also meant that Shiloh's birthday was tomorrow. He would have to get everything sometime. He didn't want to leave Liam alone, but he was gonna have to, if he wanted to sneak out while Shiloh was gone. He scribbled a note and laid it next to the other. "Went out for a bit, you can guess why. I should be back soon. -Lou" He wrote, and grabbed his keys, coat, and phone, and headed out the door.

Liam woke up slowly, and saw that neither of his friends were no longer by his side, and started to freak out some, until he saw the two notes and sighed, wishing they never had left. Soon, a doctor came in with Liam's breakfast, and set it on his lap, and left the room, before he left, he said that Liam would be having to do another rehab in fifteen minutes. Liam sighed, now since his friends were gone...he would have to do it alone, and right now was the time he needed them the most. Liam shook his head, and looked down at his food, and ate his granola bar, nothing else though, he did not feel like eating.

Shiloh soon arrived at the airport in her Impala to pick up her little brother, who - for lack of a decent father - had been flying alone. The kid hopped in the passenger seat happily, hugging his sister tightly. She grinned, starting the car again, and heading off down the road. The airport was about an hour away, so she still had a long drive ahead of her. She hadn't wanted to leave Li alone for very long, so she drove as fast as she could without being illegal.

Liam sighed deeply as the nurse came back in fifteen minutes later, and helped Liam out of bed, and lead him to this room. Liam said down in a chair, and the nurse wrapped his sprang ankle tightly, and held out her hand, helping Liam up. She lead him to the rehab room, and passed him onto another nurse that was specialized in rehab. The new nurse lead Liam over to the metal rails, and mats, where he was supposed to walk across the mat as meany steps until he fell. Liam stepped up on the mat, still depressed that his friends left his side, and took a hold of the rails, closing his eyes, scared of falling down without his friends by his side.

Louis stopped at the first party store he saw. Parking his car, he casusally walked in, going straight to the baloons, picking out some dark purple ones. He was quick with everything else, purple streamers, plates, napkins, tablecloth, plastic silverware...everything was in purple. He paid and left, it only took him ten minutes to get everything. Then, on his way back, he stopped at a bakery to order the cake. He browsed what the bakery already had, bur nothing clicked. So, he ordered aa vinnila cake with rasperry filling, and lavender-colored cream-cheese frosting. He had "Happy Birthday, Shiloh!" Written out in dark purple lettering, with also a few purple roses on the sides. He smiled, and the baker told him he could pick it up the next day. Louis grinned, thanked him, and went out to his car. He called somebody when he sat down. "Hey. I need a camera crew tomorrow." He said. "What for?" The person on the other line asked. He explained, gave him the address to the hospital, and hung up. Then, Lou was well on his way back to the hospital.

Liam opened his eyes again, taking another deep breath, and knew he would be having to do this on his own, no matter what. He slowly took his hands off of the metal railing, and stood for a couple seconds, the nurse on the left side of him. Liam slowly put one leg out in front of him, taking a small step, and wincing in extreme pain, as his ankle felt as it was getting torn, and it was on fire. Liam took a deep breath, and looked over at the nurse, "Can you turn on some music?" he asked, and the nurse smile, and took out her IPhone, and going to IHeartRadio and to Liam's amazement, 'torn.' came on, and he started to gently sing along, as he took another step, still wincing in pain, but he was caring more about hitting the right notes in the song, than the pain. He had finally found a technice that was helping, and he grew to start singing louder, which really helped him out.

Shiloh drove as fast as she could, going way faster than the speed limit allowed. Lucas was, of course, enjoying the speed, laughing, making race-car noises. Her speedy driving shaved about thirty minutes off of her driving time, and she arrived back at the hospital. Picking Lucas up, carrying him on her shoulders, and rolling his luggage behind her. She hurried to the elevator, riding it up to Liam's room, and going quickly to the door. Finding it empty, her eyes widened, and she reached for the note raise her own. She paused, wondering what Louis had gone to get. But her main concern was finding Liam. She eased to the nearest nurse. "Can you tell me where Liam Payne is?" She asked, to which the nurse responded that he was in a rehab session. "Rehab?!" She repeated, hurrying in the direction that The nurse had indicated, keeping Lucas on her shoulders. She hurried into the room, seeing Liam already at the bars. She sat Lucas down in a chair, and ran over to Liam's side. "I am so... sorry." She told him, a bit out of breath.

Liam was startled by somebody coming up beside of him when he was concentrated on walking, so he fell to the ground, and looked up, seeing Shiloh, "Oh, hi...it is...ok." he told her, as the nurse gently grabbed him around the chest and pulled him up, and sat him in a chair to rest since he had taken a lot of steps...still not enough for them to let him leave though. Liam looked over at Shiloh, and then over to a boy, who he assumed was Lucas, he loved little kids, so his expression turned to great joy, "Hiya buddy." Liam said with a grin, facing Lucas.

Shiloh saw how badly she had startled Liam, and her eyes widened as he fell. She knew she shouldn't have startled him like that, she had just been worried at the thought of him being in rehab alone. She helped the nurse move Liam to the chair, feeling a bit guilty. He was doing good on his own, and she had ruined his concentration. "Ugh, sorry, Li.." She apologized again. Her brother had headed over to the two of them, his eyes wide. "That's... You're.. Liam Payne?" He asked wildly, trying to clamber closer to Liam.

"Yes..nice to meet you." Liam said with a giggle, seeing how hyper this kid was already, and all he had said was a simple, 'Hello.' Liam looked over at Shiloh, "Oh, it is fine, Shi, I would have fallen anytime near then anyways..." he reassured her, and then looked at the nurse, and slowly got up, seeing in the nurses eyes that she wanted him to do a little more before he left. Liam climbed back up on the mat, and grabbed the railing, and the nurse turned on the music again, and Liam hit every note perfectly as he sang along to Katy Perry, 'Wide Awake.' as he slowly started taking a couple of steps.
