Cory nodded her head agreeing with every word Alec had said. It would be hard, but she knew she could do it. "So, what do you like to do?" She asked. "Like your favorite sports." Cory was trying to spark a more normal conversation that would usually happen between two people. She might have a friend, she couldn't screw this up, though the term 'friend' was pretty foreign in her world. Cory changed her sitting position and looked around on the roof before turning her full attention on Alec who sat next to her.

"Sports... I don't know, soccer." Alec shrugged. He hadn't played many sports as a child, but fond memories of playing soccer had come to his mind when sports had been said. Some of the only people he talked to had been on his soccer team. Though the conversations hadn't been too in depth, they were still people his age to talk to.

"Soccer...that's nice." Cory said awkwardly. Having a 'normal' conversation was just so foreign, she really didn't know what to say. "I like basketball." She informed after a silence. Cory looked around and saw the sky darken slightly. "Hey, do you wanna go back inside? Maybe we could see what Evan's doing." She suggested after a while before looking at Alec then towards the edge of the roof. Getting down was the hard part, but she excelled at it from being up on the roof so much.

"Yeah, let's go." Alec said, getting ready to go down. He hadn't gone up high very often, but when he did, it had always been to get away from everyone. Not to hang out with someone, like it was then. And he was rather surprised he'd agreed to go up with her. But it'd worked out in the end. Weird... I've never liked hanging out with someone. She thought.

Evan was simply sitting, his back up against the wall, in his bedroom. His right knuckles were bloody, there was a hole in the wall, and surpsingly, his board wasn't next to him, it was on his bed. He was staring at his knuckles, looking spaced out. This wasn't the first time he had done that, he tended to punch walls when he got angry. His motions worked faster than his mind when he got angry, so he became destructive, and well, things like holes in walls happened. He turned to look at the holes in the walls, Stella was going to kick him out. Wasn't she?

Cory grasped onto the edges of the roof before lifting herself down towards the open window. She slipped herself in towards the inside of the building while waiting for Alec. She looked around her room and decided to pick up some clothes from the floor. She bent down and picked up two t-shirts, a pair of shorts and some of her under clothing. Cory set the clothes onto her unmade bed before standing up straight again, waiting for Alec. She wondered where Evan was. Probably in his bedroom.

Gummi nodded. "Okay. Last I recall, the store wasn't too far away. Just a couple of blocks into the town," he chirped, tapping his chin in thought. "Now, what we need is money. Does Stella keep the grocery money anywhere around here that you know of?" He glanced up at Avery, fully expecting the boy not to know, but asking anyways. Who knows; maybe he did know.

Alec lingered on the roof for a moment before deciding to lower himself down. He slid in the window after Cory and glanced around the room. I hope Evan's doin' okay. Probably is. He decided, turning around and closing the window. It was nice out there. Maybe he should go up again sometime. First he'd go to the boys' room. "Let's go find him." He suggested.

Cory nodded her head and left her room and stepped into the hall. "Which door is his room?" She asked turning her head back towards Alec as she walked down the hall. She knew that she had to go to the boy's room first, but she didn't know which door. If she did, that'd just be weird and stalkerish, in her point of view. Cory for once somehow felt like one of those typical preteens that people usually hung out with. Sure, she didn't go to school right now, but she knew what she needed to know.
