Nicole smiled at his comment and slowly fell asleep.

Stretching, Gus squinted against the sun filtering through the windows. Moaning, he rolled over and stood up carefully as not to wake Nicole. He shuffled into the kitchen and turned on the stove, tossing bacon into one pan and eggs into the other. Pulling out a bowl, he created a pancake mix from scratch and poured it into the last free pan on the back burner. Gus happily breathed in the smell of the cooking food as he walked upstairs to take a quick shower.

Nicole opened her eyes softly and sat up. She smiled softly and stretched before getting up and pulling her long brown hair into a pony tail. She walked over to the kitchen and flipped a few eggs seeing hat they were done and then sat down in a chair near by, yawning softly.

Gus quickly pulled on a random tshirt and jeans before hustling downstairs to check on the food. He smiled as he turned the corner to see Nicole "well hello there sweetheart." he teased. "sleep okay? If you wanna take a shower." he gestured back towards the stairs before slidin into the tiled kitchen on his socks. Grabbing two plates, he passed out the breakfast an sat down at the table.

"Nicole smiled and nodded, "Yeah fine thanks" she said and sat down across from him with her plate and fork. "You sleep okay?" she asked, glancing up at him.

"slept like a baby. You?" he asked, slightly concerned that she may have had a horrible night.

Nicole smiled and took a bite, and shrugged. Listened to him and him and said once she had chewed and swallowed. "Same." she said and leaned back. Tonight it was the girls time to race. She brushed her hair back and looked at him, "It's good "

Relieved, Gus smiled and nodded before turning back to his food and eating it quickly. "so are you racing tonight?" he asked as he finished up his food.

Nicole finished her food and nodded a bit, "Yup, wish me luck." she said smiling.
