"Because I won... because my brother entered me into the contest and I won... he knew that I kinda liked your music and he thought it might be a good distraction..." Ruby replied, not looking at him, "I shouldn't even be here... I belong back home"

Liam was heart broken. "You don't wanna be here?" he asked in a small voice.

"I do...it's just I should be with my family... well what's left of it..." Ruby said, not looking at him still.
This was hard for her.
She kinda had a crush on Liam, which just made things harder

"Oh, but maybe it is good to have a vacation" said while looking at her.

"Maybe..." Ruby replied, he sounded a bit like her older brother there for a second which threw her a bit.

He looked back at the t.v still wondering why she still came.

Ruby sighed and slipped the black bracelet off her wrist and ran her fingers over the words that were carved onto the underside of the bracelet.
