After his father had stopped beating
him and rushed out of his room. He
picked up and called Jasmine. The
ringing annoyed him, "Come on," he
said out loud, his voice cracked from
all the crying.

"Well, Andrew isn't a bad guy,
he's frustrated with his dad.
His dad.. Well... He isn't
really nice to Andrew," she
said taking a sip of the coffee
she made herself.

A faint ringing alerted Jasmine, and she climbed grumpily back to her feet, going back to her room and grabbing he phone from her bag. She was a little startled to see it was Andrew, and answered just before it could stop ringing. She paused for a moment, wondering if she should just hang up. She was not happy with him right now. Shakily, she put the phone to her ear, deciding she would see what he had to say this time. "Hello," she said, barely managing to keep her tone from exposing her anger.

He could hear the anger in her
voice. For the first time, he felt
bad. He could also tell that she was
crying. "Are you okay?" he asked her.
He knew she was mad at him, but
right now he didn't care about himself,
just her.

Merlin
I wasn`t even watching the tv, I was just sitting there with Toby in my arms. I don`t know if her parents like me or not, but right now, I just wanted to snuggle with their daughter. No father really like their daughters boyfriend. My dad never liked me! Thats why he beats me, I just blame it on the guys at school.

Toby yawned a tad- she was feeling tired suddenly, even though it wasn't late or anything and she had gotten plenty of sleep the night before. Maybe it was cos she was cuddled up to Merlin though.

I snuggled up with her, my arms wrapped tightly around her. I sighed happily and kissed her head. All was right, except I was going to be beat when I got home. A small price to pay.

Jasmine stood up straight and narrowed her eyes slightly when she heard his voice. Was he crying? she wondered. "Well, I just puked, my head as is throbbing, and I'm pretty sure the bruise on my shoulder has only gotten worse, but other than that, I'm doing great." she said, her tone a little harsh. She paused to think about how sincere he had sounded, and the fact that he sounded as if he were in pain. Taking a deep breath, she added, "What about you? You don't sound so great." Her voice had softened greatly, and it was obvious she had noticed the crack in his voice.

Gale heard her murmur, and paused for a moment. "I would suggest telling them the truth. I don't recall you ever missing a day of school or being late before. I'm sure everyone will understand." he said, taking her hand and leading her out to his truck once she had grabbed her bag.

He ignored her question and
kept on talking, "Do you want
me to come over there to take
care of you?" he asked her.

Jasmine hesitated at his offer. She had two options here. She could tell him no and sit here feeling sorry for herself, or let him come over so she could havethe company and care of Amdrew, who she wanted - needed, even - to be with. The choice was obvious. "Sure, if you have nothing better to do." she said quietly, her thoughts wandering back to the unanswered question. "Andrew, are you okay?" she asked suddenly.

He still totally ignored her question.
"I'll be there in 5 minutes," he said
before hanging up on her. He got
up from his bed and put on is shoes
that had flown off when his father
hit him. He rushed down the stairs
trying not to make eye contact with
his dad and got into his car. He drove
to Jasmine's house after he got into the
car. Once he got there he got out of the
car and walked up to her door. He knocked
on it, loud enough for her to here it.
