Tears fell down Toby's face- she couldn't help it. It upset her so much just thinking about how Merlin always got hurt and all. She pulled away from him, wiping her face with her hands. "Sorry" she said quickly.

Catherine sees a young man, probably a year younger than herself, and after slight hesitation, walks towards him. She wasn't usually one to skip class, but today, she had decided to give herself a break. She walked over to him quietly, trying to remember his name. If only I paid more attention. She thought to herself. "Hey," she said to him, her deep blue eyes calculating the situation. She was sure she'd seen him before in at least one of her classes, but he was otherwise a stranger to her. Erik. The name freely skittered through her brain, and she immediately matched it to him.

I used a finger to wipe away a tear. "Its ok." I said and smiled. I hated to see her cry, it pained me so much more then getting beaten up. "I had a pretty good reson to get this bad boy." I said and chuckled.

I jump and turn to see a girl standing there. Oh, hey. I say wiping my face of anything. I sniff and look around myself. I stand up and brush myself off. Then I grab my bag. S-sorry I just... I sigh and look at the ground where my family hallucination dust faded. I realize then how stupid I looked there, admiring nothing and talking to thin air. I-uh. I wad just...

"You're Erik right? I think we have a couple classes together. What are you doing out here? I mean, I guess I should be in class too, but you seem a little... Troubled. Are you okay?" Catherine asked, glancing around briefly before she returned her attention to him.

Bay

I put my hand up to my head and close my eyes. Yeah, I'm Erik. You can call me Bay though. I say with my eyes closed still. Then I open them and remove my hands, I look at Catherine. I'm from Alaska so all of this school crap and noises so I came out here. I put my bag on my shoulder and adjust my hat. My family, I can't help it when my voice cracks. They uh...They died so I was forced to live here. And I uh...Yeah

Toby half smiled and shrugged. "It still kills me." she said quietly. She hugged him again- "I just love you and it makes me so upset when you get hurt-" she said.

I hugged her tightly. "I love you too. Seeing you cry hurts me more then being beaten." I wispered.

Catherine offered a smile. "Right, Bay, I should have remembered." she said, listening to what he had to say. "I understand. Losing your parents can be really tough. And moving? That's not so great either." she replied. "I hope I don't sound rude, but feeling bad for yourself doesn't help the situation. I'm speaking from experience. There are more people that have been through things just like you. I don't know all the details of your past, and I know that moving on isn't easy, but lingering on what has happened won't change the future." she said, hoping she wouldn't come off as inconsiderate. She knew how he must be feeling, and had already made it through the recovering stage, so she was often one to help others get through rough times as well. It was simply in her nature.
